terr5178
2009 FORD EDGE AUTO HEADLIGHTS STOPPED WORKING. HEADLIGHT SWITCH MOVED TO PARKING LIGHTS BUT NOTHING TURNS ON. SWITCH MOVED TO HEADLIGHTS AND HEADLIGHTS WORK PROPERLY. BUT IN AUTO MODE LIGHTS STAY ON DAY OR NIGHT AND EVEN AFTER THE KEY IS REMOVED. CHIME STARTS WHEN U OPEN THE DOOR AND LIGHTS NEVER GO OFF. Light sensor is working OK. i WAS TOLD TO LOOK AT THE VSM AS The problem BUT i DONT KNOW WHERE THAT IS LOCATED. -WHERE WOULD I FIND THE VSM THAT CONTROLS LIGHTS? -ANY OTHER IDEAS OF WHAT TO TEST AND HOW TO TEST WOULD BE A GREAT HELP. akirby
It's either the switch or the smart junction box. I don't know what the vsm is - maybe that's another word for the SJB.
terr5178
Sjb is what I was looking for but had the wrong name. I believe vsm is for full size ford trucks. Thanks.
