ranferg Posted October 18, 2013 Report Share Posted October 18, 2013 Just changed the oil the other day and noticed a leak coming from the PTU area. Took car to shop and they said it was the PTU leaking at some gasket. They changed out the entire assembly and reflashed the computer for the Advance trac light coming on. Car has 30k miles on it. Anyone else had this issue? Just curious. This is the first Ford I've owned and have to say in my case I am impressed with the dealer I went to. Everything was done no questions asked. Any other vehicles I've had, with a major issue like this they always seemed to want to weasel their way out of it. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
akirby Posted October 18, 2013 Report Share Posted October 18, 2013 Not many lately but this was a big problem with the early models. It took a year or two and several iterations to get a fix that worked reliably. Once fixed it should be ok going forward.
