cchango7624
I have a 2011 Ford Edge. Yesterday out of no where my backup camera stopped working. It was just a black screen that said Camera not available at this time, please see dealership. Then it came on but the image was upside down. When I was able to stop I went and wiggled the camera and it came back up normal. When I stopped again it was upside down. I tried to move it again, it was again back to normal. This morning I get up and it was completely black, and no matter how much I move it, nothing will come on. Everything else works. I live in North Carolina and its currently in the 30 s and 40 s could this have anything to do with it? cchango7624
I tried to remove the #29 and #34 fuse to see if that would reset it and have it work. At first it stayed black, then it the image was upside down again, then it worked twice in a row normal, then in the middle of it working it went to a black screen again. Edgieguy
loose connection on the camera? You can try to get the unit out from the outside and check to see if the wires may have contracted and broke from cold weather. Still under warranty id bring it back to dealer. If you need to get into the inside from the tailgate its fairly easy with the plastic just popping straight off.
