  1. Just dug these out of the garage. Someone had texted me about them but I lost your number.... Sorry
  2. Got my Bank of America pre loaded Visa card with my whopping $55.00 award from Ford after being involved in the class action suit. I must admit after all of the documentation and paperwork and all of that time, I really expected between 10 to 100 times that amount! Oh well... Merry Christmas all! visit www.myfordtouchclassaction.com to learn how the amount was calculated.
  3. NHTSA has a running list of spontaneous glass breakages. You should report it.
  4. Yeah I love it. It'll take some extra care, I know that, but after owning a Castro Convertibles white leather couch since 2000 and having it remain clean for 19 years I'm confident I can keep this up. Just got some Sonax Leather foam cleaner and conditioner and I'll wipe it up after washing regularly. Had the windows tinted with 20% to cut some of this Southern sun UV light, and next I'm going to sew up a lightweight, waterproof, reflective canopy cover to toss over the roof and windows secured by a few well placed magnets. I figure the less UV and sunlight baking that interior the better.
  5. I went with the super kid unfriendly Gallery White Semi-aniline leather. My 10 year old son actually chose it because he wants the car in 6 years. Funny you should say that about the GTR. We parked next to one in a parking lot and the dimensions are nearly spot on. My boys were like.. "I bet our car is a GTR with a different outside!" So of course I agreed. ?
  6. It's actually a new engine. VR30DDTT 3.0 litre twin turbo. Made in the same facility alongside the GTR twin turbo. Those are the only two out of that factory. A friend of mine who owns a performance shop that regularly doubles and sometimes triples import HP on everything from 4 cylinder K20 Honda's, Nissan 300, 350 and 370's, Toyota Supras and everything in between told me that when he tore these down to start performance builds he was very impressed with how stout they are.
  7. I tested the Q60 RS and it was nice, but I won't be tracking the car ever, I have a 1994 Toyota MR2 Turbo with 360 WHP for the track. I just could not justify the Red Sport. With that said though, the 3.0 twin turbo in this thing really moves! From what I've been reading the wheel horsepower numbers are just over 300 on the non Red Sports, so actual power maybe around 330 at the crank. For sure its a sweet ride. My one complaint is that they didn't give it a tuned exhaust like the C43 AMG.
  8. report leaks ASAP to your dealer. We purchased our 2011 Edge and a 2011 NEW Explorer and the Explorer wound up being lemon lawed. They could not fix or stop the leak and we lost out on the "fair mileage" because we had not reported it right away (appeared around 10k miles and we first reported at 19K. If you wind up in a lemon law situation they will charge you for every mile of usage up until they were notified and input the mileage at the first report of that problem (in our case 19k instead of 10K?.
  9. Well folks the time has finally come. After driving a 2004 Escape, a 2006 Escape, a 2008 Edge Limited, and then my 2011 Edge Sport I've traded in the Edge. After a really bad eye injury and 2 emergency surgeries to save it in May of this year, I was left unable to drive throughout the summer. Once my doctors cleared me to start driving again I started looking for cars with safety features like lane keep warning and lane keep assist. I found that Infiniti has a very nice setup for drivers aids in their ProActive and ProAssist packages. Before my 2004 Escape I was driving a 2001 Mercedes CLK55 AMG. I really did miss that car. So I say goodbye to our Edge after 9 years of ownership and nearly 80,000 miles of adventures. And hello to a new Infiniti Q60. This has been a great owners group and I learned a lot here! I made some really great friends along the way too! I hope that in some post along the way I helped someone out or made them laugh at least. I know that I've received excellent help, friendship and laughs in my time here. All the best, and SAFE motoring my friends! Andy

  12. How is Z plan different from X plan?
  13. Okay. Im going to have to take a ride and really concentrate on the sound of the car. I know I've heard a buzzing once in a while like roughvut pavement, but it also could've been roughcut pavement.I'm not sure if the PTU was ever serviced. I need to look for a How To.
  14. So I'm curious, how do I determine if i have a bad wheel bearing? My overall mileage has not gone up after the work I did.
  15. The 22" SPORT wheels are forged Aluminum with a clear powder coating over them.
  16. Although not 20's (22's in my case) I went to Niito's. Great tire, really nice grip. Harder sidewalls for cornering durability.
  17. So far my mileage has improved somewhat. I really haven't driven enough to get a good read on it. I have a 1994 Toyota MR2 Turbo that I like to cruise around in, and use our golf cart around our development, so the edge doesnt see much use.
  18. Check the snorkel from the airbox. Take it off an look at it. Often the rubber snorkel develops cracks between the ridges or bellows and that allows air in. If the clamps are not tight that can be another leak. Look it over good, I discovered cracks in mine and it wasn't even 5 years old.
  19. I like a CarPro product called PERL. {Plastic Engine Rubber Leather} conditioner. https://www.amazon.com/CarPro-PERL-Plastic-Rubber-Protectant/dp/B004UM9V5Y 303 Aerospace protectant does an excellent job as well. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KN0UOEE?aaxitk=C6JNG4jt27.uACHMotZhUg&pd_rd_i=B00KN0UOEE&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=54dc821a-0937-4e6f-9da9-f8dd5443145d&pf_rd_s=desktop-sx-top-slot&pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_i=303+protectant&hsa_cr_id=3883522410301&sb-ci-n=productDescription&sb-ci-v=303%20(30313-CSR)%20UV%20Protectant%20Spray%20for%20Vinyl%2C%20Plastic%2C%20Rubber%2C%20Fiberglass%2C%20Leather%20%26%20More%20%E2%80%93%20Dust%20and%20Dirt%20Repellant%20-%20Non-Toxic%2C%20Matte%20Finish%2C%2032%20Fl.%20oz.
  20. WWWPerfA_ZN0W, Thanks. Hope this gives many the confidence to do this repair somewhere down the line. @candurin, There's No way to clean the camera better whether you take it out or leave it installed. @chefduane, I had the same thing happen. My backup warning beeps still work though. The backup warning sensors are a separate system I would believe.
  21. Glad you're all okay! Thats the most important thing. We will say a prayer that your wife is back to 100% soon. Wish we were closer, I'd gladly lend you either of our "extra" cars to use. Here's to better days and laughing about this one day, or at least just telling it as a great story!
  22. This allowed the cradle to move enough to disconnect the old camera and slide it out, replacing it with the new camera. With the new camera in place, I simply used a zip-tie to hold it in. The gridlines are gone. I tried everything short or a Master Reset. I may see if someone in my area has a Forscan tool or knows someone at our local Ford dealership. I'll keep you all posted.
  23. Once you have the Garnish off, you can begin removing the old camera. The camera was originally assembled in its cradle and screwed into place, so as others have mentioned, it's easiest to dremel a slot and screw the screw out from the outside. I then used a small thin screwdriver to back the screw out.
