Hockeymomof3 Posted September 19, 2014 Report Share Posted September 19, 2014 Hi everyone. I've had my new 2014 Edge FWD SEL for almost 3 weeks now. Absolutely loving it. It's the deep impact blue with 20" chrome wheels, driver's entry package, panoramic roof. I got the 2014 2.0L Escape back in April and while it was a cute vehicle, peppy and good gas mileage I just wasn't completely happy. Always loved the Edge and the Escape was just a little too small for all of us. So, hubby went back to the dealer and they took my Escape back and now I'm in the Edge and I'm so happy! But, of course after having it for just shy of 1 week, I was rear-ended taking my kids to school! Let's say I was less than impressed. Not much damage, about $1500.00 but still, it's freaking brand new! People just drive like maniacs! Anyways, that's about it for now. Gonna browse the forum! Great you could work it out with the dealer to exchange the Escape. The 2.0EB engine is a pretty good little engine by all accounts. Your Edge has the 3.5L? People DO drive like ..... these days, have been hearing of a rash of rear-endings on other forums as well. Techno-gadgetry can be too distracting!
