toast1850 Posted December 4, 2014 Report Share Posted December 4, 2014 So over this past summer I removed my door handles on my SE because they were black and I wanted to paint them to match. Well I finally did that but had a problem removing the two sections of the actual handle. There is a torx screw on the end once you have them removed from the door. I removed that screw but was unsuccessful in actually getting them apart. I know they come apart somehow because it shows them in two parts on the parts diagram. The reason I'm asking is because when I painted my handles I painted the entire handle not realizing that only the front part is painted. I noticed on some SEL models at the dealership that the front handle is painted but the backside is black. My question is how can they be removed without damaging them?
