sonyguy19 Posted March 4, 2008 Report Share Posted March 4, 2008 (edited) I just got back from BEST BUY (iddiots)....anyways I was just about to purchase the Pioneer NAV sys and they asked me what kind of vehicle I had, I told them Ford Edge ofcourse, they looked it up and said they had to order the harness for it and would take 3-4weeks to get it shipped to them (its free install if you buy there for $899 - $300 off from $1199) anyways I asked them how much for the harness they said $138.00 + taxes, I told him, "So I have to wait 3-4 weeks for this part and pay $150 for this part? he said "you will probably have it working in your car in 6 weeks?????", I told him to go to hell!!!!!!!!!! anyways I found this harness on ebay could somebody tell me if this harness (its a pioneer) will work, or if not steer me in the right direction to get this harness? I would REALLY appreciate your feedback as I want to get this setup in the next couple of days. thanks! What you need it the Avic D3x which included bluetooth and ipod cable a dash kit and wiring harness from Best kits or metra. Its about a 50 minute install. if you want to get any of the above pm me for pricing . you could do your own install or we could wire it for you except for 2 outside wires which are very easy to get to. Hey, sounds like you have done a d3x install on a edge before. I just bought one off crutchfield and I think it came with all the install equipment. three things I'm curious about: How do I install the parking brake override? do I need some special adapter? secondly, can I still use the aux input in the console for the ipod cable? lastly, I still have my 6 month satellite radio trial. can I hook this pioneer system up to the satellite tuner in the car or do i have to buy a tuner separately? thats it. if I get in over my head, what does an install job cost with this system?
