mikesphoteaux
2007 MKX. Clunk when turn turning left 90 degrees, or 180 degrees. Low speeds(AKA stopped at a stop sign, start rolling forward, then turn wheel). Anyone else have that?
brbeck
I believe there is a TSB listed on this site that addresses your issue.
BlueLtd
2007 MKX. Clunk when turn turning left 90 degrees, or 180 degrees. Low speeds(AKA stopped at a stop sign, start rolling forward, then turn wheel). Anyone else have that? TSB 07-25-8 is for the clicking or creaking cv joints. They can check but if its a early production 2007 and some 2008 vehicles, then there are other known problems when making a 90 degree turn at slower speeds. The ABS brakes will apply rather abruptly . There is a cure for this but it takes a bunch of coordination with Ford Tech line to get it approved etc. Some vehicles will require that the ABS control module located on the Hydrulic control unit ( HCU) be replaced.
