JHoude Posted July 13, 2019 Report Share Posted July 13, 2019 (edited) Hello, I have a 2011 Ford Edge SEL and the engine fans do not come on. i have tested the fans and they are good. I have replaced the FCM and still nothing. There is power going into the FCM. Put a scope on the control signal and I see nothing. Where does the signal come from and any ideas why it would not be active? One would have thought that a missing control signal would result in the fans going to full speed....... When I scoped the signal there was nothing so today, I figure it possibly needed to be connected to the FCM to have it pulled up. When I pulled the cable to get it off of the FCM, the control wire came apart about 1/2" from the connector. Scoped the end of the cable and there was something so I soldered in an extension piece and Voila. Fixed!
