mazzoo2012 Posted May 2, 2020 Report Share Posted May 2, 2020 I own 2016 Edge SEL and did the following upgrades: 1. I upgraded to 8inch sync3 and with heated seats bezel option. That upgrade went very well. 2. Second upgrade was OEM edge st heated seat that went good. 3. pending is upgrading to edge st steering wheel, not sure how it will go get...fingers crossed. here is a little bit of what I did in small details. About a month ago, I bought edge ST seats and install them but the wiring is not correct, I didn’t do any wiring at all. I just plugged and play so the heating and cooling don’t work obviously. Only thing that is set off is airbag light is on steadily at all time. And that because I have open circuits underneath the new OEM heated seats. however, I’m looking for help with the correct wiring to added heating to the seats. OEM seats came with wiring that was cut off from the donor vehicle and I have both wiring just in case I need to use them to fuse together with other wires. next project is upgrading steering wheel to Edge ST steering. I really like how bulky the wheel and stitching job on it. I’m not necessarily looking for heated steering wheel in this case. So, have anyone ever done these three or one of upgrades to their edge and how it went? two things I need help with: 1. Seats wiring to connect to the bezel and enabling heat in the seats. 2. Steering wheel updgrade...I just ordered ST steering wheel and I need to order control Module. I can figure out all of that Parts needed but the process is what I’m interested in. How much wiring do I need to get the ST STEERING WHEEL working on my 16 edge? I know I will not have adaptive cruise control and lane assist. I just the steering wheel to work even without heated capability. I’m following thread in fusion and f-150 forums. But I hope to find some real help on the edge forum. I’m willing to help answer some questions about some of the upgrades I did. Maybe I can help or maybe not.im here to learn and help out as well. I swapped out clothed seats with ST leather seats, that wasn’t too bad but the heating and cooling doesn’t work yet. Ten way seat adjustments is working on both and that’s all I need for now. No need to talk with parts guys, the Ford salesman up front can help you. Then you can go Vroom Vroom with ST seats, steering wheel, badges. wheels, suspension etc etc!
