Capt Bob
Recently my 2018 Edge Titanium FWD 3.5L V6 Equip Group 300A SYNC3 w Navigation & Sony audio has gone quiet. That is that all the SYNC and audio features work but the volume if set to 8 isn't actually audible. If I roll the volume to max (30) I can faintly hear the source playing. For normal driving, volume 10 is pretty good. I've recently had service (after this problem started) with the battery replaced. Problem remains. Have software up to date. Shop suggested replacing the amplifier (ACU) but at a WOW cost. I've shopped that part online and it is back-ordered/ not available. I've done a few re-sets with no improvement. Speaker walk-around seems good- you can hear them in sequence. On an adventure, I've removed the amplifier (left-rear cargo) and checked inside- there are no obvious burnt components. Suggestions? Capt Bob
I couldn't buy a replacement amplifier (they are back-ordered) but did find a used one I purchased: it didn't make any difference. Good thing for me that I've suspended the Sirius/XM subscription for now. Unhappy thing is that I can't really listen to any audio. In SouthEast Florida; any suggested techs or Ford shops specializing in electronics/ audio (I'd like to keep it factory equipment).
