Still haven't figured out the garage door opener but getting there its my first day before my wife takes it. I really like the color(Dark Ink Blue) and interior . Haven't seen many in the dark blue color. Very sharp! I remember all the reading and syncing as well. For the garage door opener, you may need to press a button on the housing where the opener is mounted in your garage to "receive" the signal from your cars transmitter button. Idrive Door opener Plus I have figure out the best was to use or hook a dvd system to the nav unit . I did everything right but missed one step with my Idrve, There is a red button on the motor that copies the new signal. My wife love the Edge.
