87yj Posted May 7, 2007 Report Share Posted May 7, 2007 Ordered an Edge about 3 weeks ago. So far the dealer has only provided an order number, but says the VIN has not been assigned yet. How does this process normally work? I've seen comments about orders being serialized...is this having a VIN assigned? Would like to start tracking the progress of our new vehicle. Edgy Girl Posted May 7, 2007 Report Share Posted May 7, 2007 It can take a bit.. some of us got VIN's in a couple of days.. some took weeks Best to post VIN at blueovalforums.com - under vehicle locator by employees once you have it. Serialized means all the parts for your vehicle have been assigned to your call and labelled by VIN.
