toeknee Posted January 30, 2011 Report Share Posted January 30, 2011 (edited) Issue 1: iPad does not charge via USB cable Issue 2: when iPhone 4 is connected via USB sync says no media is found on device although iPad music via USB works fine Issue 3: when iPhone 4 is paired the phone no longer makes a new text message alert sound when I receive one Not sure what could be wrong with issue 2 but I tried a lot if options with no fix Any advice as I'm new to the edge Thanks! Issue 1: The iPad requires more power to charge than the USB port supplies. I purchased a Kensington PowerBolt chargerand it works great for the iPad Issue 2: You might try another iPhone cable. I have found that not all cable are created equally. Issue 3: I think you will hear the notification if the iPhone is the current audio source. Thanks for the response I will look to purchase a iPad specific car charger I figured out my iPhones music library needed to be resynced and it is now working properly Thanks for the SMS tip!
