teacher Posted March 20, 2011 Report Share Posted March 20, 2011 In October, 2010 I purchased a new 2011 Sport Edge. Shortly after receiving it I experenced a loud bang in the rear transmission. My wife came home from shopping one day, white as a sheet complaining about the same problem. After returning it to our dealer they indicated they were not familar with any problem concerning transmission banging. After asking other owners about the probloem, all of them said they had incountered the same problem and it goes back serverial year with Ford Models. interim Posted March 21, 2011 Report Share Posted March 21, 2011 I've never heard of Fords ever making loud banging noises as something that's somehow normal.
