ricks08edge Posted August 1, 2011 Report Share Posted August 1, 2011 HI THIS IS RICK FROM TORONTO CANADA, WE HAVE A 08 EDGE LIMITED AWD WITH 81000KMS AND WHEN THE TRUCK REACHED ITS STANDARD WARRANTY OF 60 000KS THE SUBWOOFER STARTED TO GO ON N OFF FROM THE REST OF THE SYSTEM. WE CAN BE LISTENING TO MUSIC AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE SUBWOOFER WILL JUST TURN OFF WITH NOTHIN COMING OUT OF IT, IN ORDER TO HAVE THE SUB WORKING AGAIN I HAVE TO TURN THE AUDIO OFF FOR 5 SECONDS AND THEN TURN IT BACK ON THE SUB COMES BACK TO LIFE, ONCE IN AWHILE THE SUB TURNS OFF AGAIN AND HAVE TO REPEAT THIS PROCESS OVER AND OVER AND SOMETIMES IT DOES NOT GO OFF. WE HAVE TAKEN THE TRUCK TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT THEY CANT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. WE R HOPING THAT SOMEONE HERE HAS ENCOUNTERED THE SAME PROBLEM THAT WE R GOING THROUGH NOW WITH OUR TRUCK AND IF THERE IS ANY HELP IN GETTING RID OF THIS. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Dr Fildo Posted December 13, 2011 Report Share Posted December 13, 2011 I am having the EXACT same issue. Just purchased it. 2008 Limited AWD. It has a 3 month, 3000 mile warranty, so it is in the shop right now. When I get it back, and if it is fixed, I'll let you know what they told me they did to fix it. Dr Fildo Posted February 6, 2012 Report Share Posted February 6, 2012 Just had the factory sub and amp replaced via warranty. So far sounds good. Supposedly the connection from the amp to the sub goes bad and needs replacement. If it happens again, I'll replace with aftermarket stuff. From what I understand, the amp behind the subwoofer needs replaced, part 7L2T-18C808-AA, available on eBay or direct from Ford. Good luck.
