Edge-SE2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Report Share Posted August 4, 2011 Hi, I bought my Edge SE in July and really like it. But, the Check Engine Soon light and Airbag light came on only 380 miles! That surprised me. I brought it to the Ford dealer and they gave the following explanations. Did anybody encounter the same issues? 1. Check Engine Soon light. P0456 - They performed smoke test and found no leak. They thought that I might have fuelled the vehicle with the key on. I am 100% sure I turned off the engine when fuelling it. 2. Airbag light. B0028 - 1A for right side airbag deployment control. They said it would take weeks to get the ordered module to fix the issue. Is it really safe to drive the car before the issue is fixed (as they claimed)? Is it possible that the airbag pops out abnormally? Thanks a lot.
