Audio Wiring Question

Recommended Posts

Alright, I'm putting in a new subwoofer. I've got the amp all wired up and ready to go. I'm planning on using a line output converter. I bought this one in case you're interested: Stinger SLOCII from Car Domain - $16 w/free shipping.

My question is if anyone knows which wires are which in the stock subwoofer amp. harness? Securinu, do you know? If no one knows I can just use the wires in the rear door panels. I can run them but it'd be much easier to use the existing wires already in the back to hook up my converter. I haven't been successful in my search for wiring schematics online.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

I still need to know about the harness wires but I'd also like to know about the Rear Door Speakers. Which wires are positive and which negative.

Passenger Rear Door - brown w/white stripe & brown w/blue stripe

Drivers Side Rear Door - brown w/yellow stripe & white w/green stripe

I'd love some help.

The factory subwoofer amp is Violet/green sub positive

Green/white sub negatives

Shield is grounded

Sub enable : for sub is violet/red and is about five volts

Rear door speakers are brown with white stripe is right rear positive

Left rear speakers are white/green stripe is positive.

Factory sub amp is rated at 90 watts.

Thanks BlueLTD, that helps. Any idea what the pink wire w/red stripe is?

We can't get the harness wires to work at all.

The door wires will make the sub work but we're getting interference. We checked the rca's and tried several different grounds. Any ideas kids?
