rt2525, Do you work for ford? And can I quote you on it and show it to the dealership? As the sales manager explained it to me by restricted was since ford was behind on production they just sent vechiles with or without the Vista roofs and it didn't matter what you ordered! Which I think the dealership just f@#ked up! I just need someone from the factory to tell me this is not true, and I'll show the dealership that they messed up

Yeah, I'm sure leaning that way hard! But has anyone heard of a restriction on the vista roof! Or just BS'ing me around and messed up the order?

I ordered my vechile on the week of Thanksgiving (in Canada) and my dealership called me to today to tell me the my Edge SEL w/vista roof was here, Yay! So, I thought any ways! So, I get into test drive it and I look up and NO VISTA ROOF! WTF So, I tell them this must not be mine? but it was! I talked to the sales manager and he says that the Vista Roof is on restriction, and that ford is just pushing out whatever it can do? 1st. is this true? 2nd. The Sales manager refuses to give me any kind of deal of on it, he's planning on charging for the vista roof even though it's not there! 3rd. They knew the vechile wasn't coming in with a Vista Roof in Mid December and apparently forgot to tell me, so I've been without a vechile for almost 4 months now, when I could have ordered a new Edge with the option or another vechile. 5th. he told me straight out that I have too talk to ford about this because they won't talk to them to get it straightened out for me! 6th Then he has the balls to say take or leave it because I can sell it tomorrow! P.S. The chrome wheels also didn't come either, but I don't care less about that.

So how much CDN does it cost to fill the EDGE?

It usually takes about 6 weeks from the day you order it to get out of the factory, I was told. Then there is delivery time added onto that which will add about about another 10 or 12 days on that! I would order now if you really want one!

Mine was ordered on Sep 29th (SEL w/vista), and I'll be recieving it on the 18th of January. So, I hope that's some what of a indication of how long of wait you'll have.

Just curious, where are these holding points in Western Canada! My dealer today told me that all the holding points are around Oakville, ON.....is this true? He also said it would be about a 10 to 14 day train ride to the West before I even get to see it :angry:

OK I Don't Want To Get Anyone Too Excited! My Girlfriend might be seeing things again, but she just called and told me that three black edges! were going down Crowchild Tr. in Calgary! One for sure had a Bamer! I hope she's not getting my hopes up.......I thought I would spreed the word

Who cares if Mark Fields gets a haircut! Just as long as he fixes what the hold up is. Frankly, I think this should have been done more then a month ago by Mark Fields! Ford says this is supposed to be the most important launch of 2006 and by the sounds of it, I won't be getting my vechile this year. Good one Ford P.S. Sorry guys I have to vent somewhere
