Those are the worst locks on the market. The key will strip out when you go to take them off. I stripped about 3 keys before I had to go to a wheel shop to get them off. Get the locks with the different knurl pattern on the outside and the key fits over like a socket.
I am in So Cal as well and we have a cabin in Green Valley Lake. I bought a 11 Sport with FWD. I wont be taking it up the mountain in the snow though. I have a jeep wrangler and a 4wd truck for that. If I didn't have those options, I definitely would have bought the AWD and maybe even considered the Limited over the sport because of the smaller wheels and more rubber to wrap the chains around. All that being said, I dont think you should take the hit and move to an awd version. The roads are cleared fast in the local mountains and the new snowfall is pretty predictable.
I don't know what the % tint was. I took it to a local guy here who works on really high end cars (lambos, ferrari's, etc. for jstar motors). He has done a great job on all of my cars. I told him I wanted to match the back. I only had the two fronts done and it was $60. I know he uses 3M film.
That is what I was thinking. I think it was just the short drives without the time to calibrate. Time will tell. In the mean time, I am hunkered down with the AC blasting.
My window sticker was $41,170. With the ford $1000 rebate I ended up paying $38,190 before state tax which was $500 below invoice. I have the vision package, driver entry package, tri-coat white, voice navigation, and vista roof.
