  1. My vehicle asks me to send the report results only when I am driving on a 1500 mile trip. So I agree and it then says it can't send the report. But on the return trip, I was never asked. Such a wierdo.
  2. I got my upgrade in the mail on Saturday. I took my edge to the dealership this morning for the upgrade. They accomplished it in just under an hour. I like the new look of the screen. I re-paired my phone and everything seems to be fine. I do not have the nav system but do have Sirius XM which works fine so far.
  3. I had mine changed at WalMart. They said it was one quart low and that was from the factory. They also used 5.5 qts, so I got the .5 quart as I paid for 6 quarts.
  4. Primetime, curio, _12780 , I am definitely late to this party. I don't know about overseas dealers, but the ones in the states should abide by "lemon Laws". If you have the same problem over and over again with Ford supposedly fixing it, then you may have a lemon. Bring this to their attention. I would consider this dance you are having to do inexcusable. [Easy to say this when you don't have those problems you've been experiencing, I admit.] I hope Ford is providing a "loaner" vehicle also.
  5. Periodically there are lemons. Sounds like yours is one. As a new car owner with the 3 year/36,000 mile initial warranty, I would be taking it back to your dealer with your documentation of what happens and when. Then bring up there is a lemon law. That is your right as a consumer.
  6. To answer questions: I have a 2011 SEL FWD in red candy metallic with the 201A package. And the 18" painted aluminum wheels. Yes, the driver's mat does cover the dead pedal area and has two, count 'em, hole thingys you can use to attach underneath to the floor pegs.
  7. I went through AutoAnything.com and got the Lloyd TruBerber Floor Mats for the front and back. They don't have the Edge on them but look really good, and cover the front driver and passenger foot area completely. I have the medium light stone cloth interior and the light carpet shows everything. I was looking for full coverage from side to side in the front and they deliver it. I also picked up the Canvasback cover for the back. Velcro sticks to the back of the rear seats and all the way around the back area. I was looking for something to keep my pups fur at bay and this is also full coverage in the Hawaiian black & white.
  8. Picked up my SEL yesterday. The my ford touch screen is heat sensitive as opposed to touch(pressure) sensitive. That's why there are so many issues with the emergency flashers going off all the time for those with the issues. Glad there is a Touch booklet. That's going to be my new best friend.
  9. I picked up my SEL FWD yesterday. I have an older Motorola Razer phone that doesn't want to sync. Maybe it's time for a phone upgrade. Also for those having to press on the touch screen and having issues with the flashers-----they are Heat sensitive, not Touch sensitive. So if your finger is cold you may have to hold it on the appropriate button. I haven't had any issues with the touch aspect. Now it's just learning the touch system. Overall, I like it.
  10. I've been lurking for about a month now. I live in Chino Valley, AZ. That's about 15 miles north of Prescott,AZ. I am awaiting the arrival of my 2011 Edge SEL w/ 201A package in Candy Red. What things should I be looking for besides close paint inspection, that there is an antenna and no massive dings/dents?
  11. So for all you detailer type guys/gals, what is the difference between using a clay bar and compounding?
