  1. Or just Airconditioning for Dummies. I thought this was common knowledge. I also dont get the other posts where people complain that their AC doesn't blow on their face. I mean, do your AC vents in your house blow in your face? No, they are set to control the overall environment of the area it is cooling. I think the Edge does a great job. It takes me 10 minutes to get home. Five minutes after I am in the car, my AC (set to 75) is already blowing at a slower speed.
  2. LOL! I do somewhat agree with 007. Not that you were crying, you're simply stating what you don't like. On the other hand, I think you can easily live with the way the BAMR operates. I don't have to crack windows in mine. It was 104 degrees here Wednesday (that's not a heat index...that was 118) which means it was probably 150 inside (I'm exaggerating). All I do is open the windows for the first minute or so I'm driving while cranking the AC. Opening the windows cools down the car about 20 degrees almost instantly. By then your AC is cranking out some nice, cold air. Just let it do its job from there. Of course, make sure you have your air set to recirculate.
  3. Help them make a sale? Encourage it? Sounds like you're doing the opposite considering the topic. I will respect your opinion, but I wouldn't call the MKX "uncomparable" to the Edge..especially when it comes to the exterior. I will say that this Edge doesn't do it for me. Most people have poor selection when it comes to matching ridiculously large wheels to vehicles. Over the years, I think that has ruined me on the concept. I think they are a waste of money compared to the extra, more functional goodies you could add to the vehicle.
  4. It looks like you didn't get the sides done. Any particular reason? I like the way the black looks on mine. Don't have any plans to change that.
  5. Welcome Odie, Looks like you are in the market for a future baby mobile like I was. You and I are the same age, so from a parallel perspective, I would highly recommend the Edge. I will say I don't have a speed gene like you, but the Edge has impressive acceleration and rides very smooth. Like you, I'm itching to customize my vehicle. Whatever you do to your Edge (provided you buy one), make sure you post pics for all of us Edgers to see. Looking forward to seeing you Edge with a supercharger on it. :yup:
  6. I've had my Edge for about 2 weeks. I don't have any glare issue whatsoever. Of course, I have charcoal interior. As for the brakes, they could be better, but I think people tend to overstate their deficiencies. All in all, I'm very happy with my choice. Afterall, this car brought me back from foreign cars.
  7. I live in mid-VA. Close, but not close enough. I'm not what you would call the driving type. I can handle about 2 hours, then I start getting stir-crazy.
  8. Carbon Camel? I suddenly want a cigarette...and I don't smoke.
  9. Looks like I'm in a small demographic. Mid 20's DINK. Pewter Edge too....seems to be the least common color.
  10. That's a race I'm not going to win. Everything is within 10 minutes of my house so I don't log too many miles. Besides, I want this car to last a nice looong while. Now if you want to talk least miles logged, I'm your guy :happy feet:
  11. Tell me about it! At least your buddy got a Xterra. I had to drive that Saturn with 140K+ for 3 years. It was the fun kind too. You know, the kind that leaks oil, has a head gasket about to go that likes to leak even more oil on to the spark plugs (at least I fixed that part), and heats up and cools down about the time you get to work. I will say this, at least my windows worked. I'm just glad I'm not driving that piece of any more.
  12. When I was looking at Edges, I noticed that the ones with the med lt. stone interior looked tan. I couldn't really tell the difference between the two. I thought that the label was misprinted until I saw a few others with the same interior. I asked the salesman about it and he said that it was even hard for him to tell unless he had the camel interior one right next to him and was able to look back and forth to compare. I'm glad I got the charcoal interoior. There's no mistaking that one.
