Got my package on Friday. All I can say is the install was a breeze I would say 45 minutes. The outcome is HEAVEN the system is exactly what you expected it to be when you bought the car. Feels great to have everything function as it should IMMEDIATELY So far I am very happy its like having a new car. I do love the new look too, fits the car better IMO

yep honeymoon over. Time doesn't read out at all on the right instrument gauge cluster - just blank although when starting it flashes brief then goes to hash marks now always starts with Audio off - but if you hit the on button it doesnt go on you actually have to touch the the audio section or switch the channel its currently on.. pull the fuse?

Living with it now for 2 days. WOW so much faster. Boot up seems instant and very clean. Almost no delay in using any functions once you are in the car and moving. backup camera ALWAYS works, which was my biggest peev

Mine took 40 minutes coming from 2.8 Upgrade worked fine it did a bunch of resets during the process BUT its a massive improvement in the problem areas I had. 1. Reverse camera actually works all the time. Used to only work if I got it in reverse in the first ten seconds, now I can go back and fourth no problems 2. I was able to hit the Voice button and get a response only moments after the car was started. Usually I have to wait up to 1-2 minutes before it will chime back after I pressed the button. So far no stuck black screens after pulling out reverse.Seems more responsive over all and more importantly STABLE. and yes I did it without a trip to the dealer.. now they are on the right track.

Its strange though I have a 2011 MKX and I did the upgrade and the system is way better. I agree its slow to touch and slightly buggy but for the most part its been working for me since I got the car. The upgrade greatly improved things for sure. The main thing I seem to have taken notice of is that if you jump in the car, start it up and immediately put it in gear and take off, you are likely to see something go wrong. I tend to wait a few seconds for the system to boot up and I rarely have anything go wrong. for what its worth!

Do you have the latest update? If not it dramatically improves the BT connection with the iPhone. I rarely have any issues anymore since the update.

wow, that is unreal. well if you dont want the car you easily have a lemon law case.

I love autoblog but I think that article horribly written he missed all of the important points of what separates The edge and the mkx and why that price difference exists. Looks are always a personal preference but you can't just gloss over the major areas So casually and lead readers to believe what you have falsely put fourth.

This is absolutely a lemon law situation. I actually went through it with a different vehicle a few years back and it was quite simple. Usually its based on the car being out of service X amount of time or a reoccurring issue that they cant fix which could pose a safety issue. Ford better move quickly or have a more open dialog before they have a big issue on their hands with what they consider one of the lines biggest selling points.

Guys not sure if you have an Edge or MKX but I looked at the 2011 MKX's at the dealer and would you believe they are all like this. We concluded it was designed intentional like this but my salesperson is researching for me further.

So while washing my truck today I noticed that the tail lights actually had water in them. I stayed calm and carried on with the cleaning thinking I already had a warranty issue. Low and behold I noticed when I open the lift gate I could see that there was a gap in the lens. So I'm wondering is this intentional or a defect? Anyone else with an MKX or Edge dealt with or noticed this? FYI I know the lights are different on these 2 models but it seems that it happen on both sides. The parts on the MKX on lift gate and the lens on the trucks rear quarter panel.

So while I havent had the vast majority of problems most people are having Ihad my first bug pop up. It seems I get into the car and 2, always the same two, Sirius presets are missing from my menu. So I switch channels and add them back, they load fine and stay until I shut off and restart the vehicle. once again the same two channels are gone. Anyone going through this?

I was thinking, I bet we all wish we could do that with our MyTouch systems, cause mine sure as hell doesnt do social media!!

Just want to Say I had this issue from day one when I plugged my gen 4 iPod into my 2011 MKX. Constant disconnects and problems. I ran syncmyitunes on my iTunes and I have to say since then its been 100% better... So at the very least give that a try, definitely help with album art showing properly as well.
