  1. We're still waiting for the pics of the upgraded BIG 3 wiring that you "supposedly" upgraded

  2. We're still waiting on your pictures of the BIG3 upgraded wiring so everyone on the forum can see what it entails on their Edge ps - tell your company to get with the times. My company vehicle is an '11 Edge SEL with MFT, Sirius, roof rails, storage bins in spare tire well etc.
  3. Yes, we're sure. To test yours turn your bass up 3/4 of the way. Turn your volume up and listen for the bass to decrease as you raise the volume then notice that it increases as you lower the volume.
  4. [/quote Who said the battery and ground cables were not upgraded? The 150amp stock alternator is MORE than adequate to supply the necessary voltage and amperage for the 2 amplifiers I am running. I can easily get 125db spl inside the vehicle with zero dimming of any lights. For those who don't know what 125db is - it is the level that pain begins in your ears. A loud rock concert with on the floor seats will be about about 115-120db. A capacitor does have limited value with the electrical sytems in todays vehicles, but I had it laying around from my younger days of competing in IASCA competitions - there was room for it and it can't hurt the voltage supply of the electrical system. Here are the pics. Nice work, how bout shots of the sub/enclosure? So, are the "BIG 3" upgraded or not?
  5. I dont see any name calling other than you calling us name callers.
  6. Makes me nauseous everytime I hear someone call the EDGE a "truck"
  7. BEAUTIFUL WORK! I'm ordering some today to completely wrap my tail lights!!!
  8. Keep in mind that the factory head unit lowers the bass signal as you increase the volume so you HAVE to install a JL Cleansweep or comparable unit if you want an increase in bass with your increase in volume.
  9. Where are the pics? We want pics!!! PS - Why did you install a capacitor? You'd get far better performance by upgrading the alternator, battery and ground cables.
  10. Also refrain from reading stupid posts from HOCKEY87 while drinking coffee as you could spill it and burn yourself. By the way how would your front passenger see a dvd installed headrest???
  11. You might be able to fit 1 shallow mount 12 under the rear seat but keep in mind that the bottom of the seat slides forward a few inches when the seatback is lowered. There's plenty of room for 1 12 in the stock subwoofer location and there might be room in the spare tire well with modification (will know when mine arrives)

    3.5L Mods???

I posted a few facts, no opinions. If you don't want your feelings hurt by the posting of factual information go spew your misinformation elsewhere.

    3.5L Mods???

1/4 miles times are not a measure of performance unless we're discussing performance vehicles. The Edge is not a performance vehicle. No, his point was that Ford screwed up the transmission gearing resulting in unacceptable 1/4 mile times. Ford isn't intentionally misleading anyone by emphasizing HP numbers. Horsepower numbers in a Crossover brochure are no different than driver headroom numbers, rear passenger legroom numbers, or cargo space numbers. All of these numbers are typical in advertising by all manufacturers and unless mistated none are misleading. It is apparent in your posts that you are feeling mislead due to being uninformed/uneducated on the terms of performance and 1/4 mile performance as they relate to a 4400lb crossover.
  14. I've heard the Sony system and I agree it's rather nice for factory. I'm also looking forward integrating my EVO, thumb drives, portable hard drives, Sirius, etc with my SEL MFT/headunit. I've done hundreds of installs but this will be the first time I've opted to keep the factory headunit in one of my personal cars. That picture looks hella scary eh'
