My 2011 edge lease is up march 30th 2014 I can't wait. Every imaginable problem listed above and other posts on this forum, i been through it. The last one was this slipping of the tranny. They did some TSB update so who know if it works because the problem is random. 22k on it. bye bye sync bye bye stiff steering wheel just plain old bye-bye. the words of "we didn't find anything wrong with it" will be for the unsuspecting person who buys it after me. I wish i can leave a note inside for them. don't buy this one. its was a love hate relationship towards the Edge. started with a 06 escape then a 08 escape stepped up to the edge and now I'm stepping OUT. thanks for all the info on the forum anyway I wish everyone all the best with their vehicles.

My MFT reverts back to the AV screen as mention above. it is very annoying never use to do that before. Also sometimes it says indexing with my iPod which is in the car 95% of the time. for as long as this system has been on the market, you would think all those little annoyance would have been solved by now.

Update: I got my smart start VSS5000 loving it lol. bottom line it will be cheaper to just get it from best buy and get the bypass module from amazon $60 bestbuy wants $100 for the module Best Buy package includes installation already. Optional: $49.99 smart start service fee for a year or 133 for 3 years to each his own. 2011 Edge SEL regular key, no power lift gate it works. Also i can still lock and unlock the doors with my regular key, but the viper alarm system wont arm unless you use the little remote that came in the box so ill just use that for now. its not bulky or i just use my smart phone

i picked up a Viper Smart Start Vss5000 from amazon and a Flashlogic module from best buy. on sunday, i will be getting the items install at best buy. I hope everything works out good and ill report back on the outcome. 2011 edge sel.

Hi people! I came across this video on youtube where the cameraman got a custom dash kit built with magnets to install his Google Nexus 7 tablet over his MyFord Touch screen. I like the idea and want to do something like that. yes I know it looks like a lot of distractions upfront depending on how you use it but then again what isn't distracting about MyFord Touch. Anyway what do you think? I'm sure its not limited to nexus 7 tablets. Fast forward the video to 05:25 thats where the Ford pard start enjoy

Hi recently I started experiencing an issue with my driver side door not being properly closed. "Sometime" when I put the key in the ignition, I hear a constant beeping sound that alerts me that a door is open. I open the door, close it again, slam it close it soft you name it that beeping sound won't stop and the little icon on the dash indicate it is the driver side door. My car has never been in any accident or got hit on that side. Has anyone else experience this problem? Most likely when I bring it in for servicing and mention this issue it won't happen in front the service advisor. 2011 SEL edge

I have the MyFord Touch but without the Nav option. After looking at the above post www.driveav.com I was wondering do you think its possible to remove the MyFord Touch Head unit, replace it with the one that is pictured in Darkriff's post to achieve on screen Nav. also I found this a while back emailed them didn't get any answer to my question specifically how much will this cost. www.mocar.us look interesting.

am having same issue with my edge brought it in 2x and they still cant fix my ride losing fait in that dealership slowly alongside other issues ive mention to them about my car. whatever this TSB is, can you post here so i can help these people out at my local dealership. fustrated driver here.

I have the same problem I took my car in 2x about this issue, went out for a test drive with a mechanic. They kept my car for 2 days only to have no clue or what was causing it. 12600 miles later still hear the same problem but not as loud **sigh**.

yesterday i notice the little black rubber band around the volume knob is coming off on mine.

My 2011 edge SEL AWD is doing the same thing 10089 miles on it. I know when i bring it in for servicing, the same old frustrating answer will be told. we took it out for a test drive but couldn't replicate the problem. last night i attempted to get out of a turning lane and basically the car just rolled over into the next lane. i needed to step on it to get out of the way. the guy behind me was blowing at me. little did her know my edge didn't want to be driven for about 1-4 sec. then it just jumped into gear. i pay good money for this car, it still smells new and this crap is starting to happen.

Here we go again my excitement is over......... A call came in I let it go to voicemail as soon as the phone stop ringing, the ford log flash on the screen and my shiny new performance upgrade crashed. the screen went blank for about 2 -3 min WTF.

I downloaded mine from sync my ride.

I just finished the performance upgrade. Everything went smooth as someone has stated earlier, hang around for about 5 to 10 min before you leave the car.I had to press "ok" on the screen within that time frame. ok now time to *itch again is ford going to send me a $10 gas card for having my engine ideling all this time j/k lol. I dont have the SD map on my edge MFT just the turn by turn directions through sync services so i guess my journey is over for now.
