Does anyone know what will be included with the update?

I have the iphone5 as well. There was an article on here before and it said to turn your Bluetooth off ( on your phone) then back on. There will be a little blue arrow beside your listed sync device ( on the phone) click the arrow. This will take you to a notification page. Make sure this is set. After I did that I shut both the phone and car off. When I restarted both text msging works. ( mine will only receive messages )

I would like to add that I have only ever had one reboot with MFT. I have the nav as well. I love it! The only complaint I have is trying to use voice commands with the nav. Bit I will fully admit that it's me, not the system. Lol

It did take me a few times of shutting the Bluetooth on my phone on and off a few times until I remembered to power off the phone and restart it. As soon as I did that it showed up

So after having the update done, which I LOVE having the temperature back on the screen, I now have the notification tab on my iPhone. I can also receive texts. You are right that I can't send any. But I love the option of receiving them. Maybe the next update will fix the ability to send? Lol

I was told the dealerships have the new A4 nav cards in stock. I called my local dealer and they do. I've scheduled the update for Friday. Hoping this adds the "notification" area on my phone under Bluetooth cause I can't get it to appear now before the update. When I talked to ford they said that the iPhone at this time is not compatible for text messaging. Here's hoping they are wrong and the update helps

Thinking about getting the Samsung Galaxy S3......has anyone had experience with this phone? Will it send and receive text msgs? Thanks!

I believe you have to have the Sony stereo that's in the limited version? I have a SEL with MFT and don't have the HD option.

I couldn't wait anymore either and called the dealership closest to me (not the one I bought my Edge from) and they were more than happy to do it for me and give me the Nav card! I'd like to know how Sirius sent the signal for Travel Link cause they told me that its not available in Canada? I just renewed my subscription today as well when I saw that the Travel Link was on the info screen now.

My SEL does it. But I have MFT as an option.

Mine used to do that as well. When I turned down the speed sensitivity selection that changed. Maybe try that?

I called tonite and ford confirmed they started mailing out to Canadian customers on the 19th. Sooo depending on how fast or slow snail mail is it could be 1-2 wks

Has anybody in Canada received their pkg yet?

Awesome, thank you for the update. I was just checking out on Youtube different videos and did a search for myford touch travel link and it states that you must have your Navigation SD card installed for this option to work. Again, I realize that we don't have the actual travel link here in Canada available thru Sirius, but being close to the border I am able to pick up the Weather. Now I'm getting more and more excited for the update to arrive!!!! Thank you again for the info.....

Thanks! I admit I'm more concerned about the rubbing sound. Not quite that metal on metal sound but very similar. It's weird that it only happens when the car has been parked for awhile

Could someone please post when they receive their Canadian version and let me know if the Travel Link options are there again? When I go the car orginally I had the Weather, Gas, Movies, etc. Yes, it was for the States information however I live really close to the border so that was no big deal. When I got the update done (2.11 I think?) it wiped out the ability to even bring up those options. There were no options under the shortcuts to see those anymore. So I'm curious if we will get those shortcut options back?

I have something like this. When I go to start the car in the mornings,and let off the emergency brake, there is always a thunk sound. Then when I back out of the driveway you can clearly hear a squeal sound and rubbing sound. This usually lasts about the first 5 mins of driving and stopping and then goes away. If I didn't know better I'd think my brakes were "rubbing". My car is a 2011 and I bought it new in Sept. Should be new brakes??????

I'm a bit confused......did you receive the new SD card for the maps as well? Or just the upgrade?

I noticed that the heated seat option has three levels? My Edge only currently has two options. Low, which doesn't even feel like its on, and high, which burns your backside! Do you think that the new interface is going to change our systems to a tri-level?

The reason I called was that it was working for about 3 days and then it stopped. They said on the phone that they had been testing it and that it will be being released soon. The lady on the phone didn't have an exact date but that they were all excited about being able to offer it soon. So hopefully it will work soon!

I have looked online (google) and have looked in my manual, but haven't found a good description of what the info system picture of the AWD means. Can someone explain what I am seeing or should see to know if the AWD is kicking in? The AWD picture I mean is on the left hand screen and has a picture of the car with four places where tires would be. Sometimes I see little "tires" and sometimes I've seen what looks like double tires. Thank you for any input!

I would love to be able to maximize myfordtouch and have those services, but I have to say I still love my edge regardless. I've been lucky and have never had a problem with mft yet. I have the SEL AWD with some options. Basically I have everything but leather and sunroof. I feel like I am driving a high end,luxury car everyday! It's so quiet and smooth! The only issue I've had with mft is not being able to load the browse feature for sirius radio. It just hangs trying to load. I hope this fix helps that. I love technology and can't wait to see the changes!

Do you think the new update will include any fixes for us Canadians and being able to use sync services and apps?
