  1. You can input any channel you want through the keypad feature on the screen, or scroll manually using the steering wheel controls. You cannot bring up the list with channel names and descriptions while in motion.
  2. We see around 19-22 city and 25-30 in our AWD Edge. I did put a tune on mine though so that probably helped a bit.
  3. I tried in park and it just says bad disc... I must be a moron...
  4. I havent' done anything on it yet. I did find a kid on an Acura Forum who did this and it looked cool. Basically the chip Acura used for their nav was the same as in a Sega Dreamcast. The kid had hacked the Dreamcast before so he had the file dump program already. He loaded his Nav CD into his computer and dumped the stock files he did not need and uploaded his own onto a DVD. That's as far as I've got. It would be helpful if someone could tell us what processor is in the Pioneer Nav unit we have.
  5. Fuel pump should be audible when the key is first turned to the ON position. When the car is running you should not be able to hear the fuel pump (unless you have 1000 HP with an aftermarket pump!).
  6. Sounds like you are comparing the Edge to vehicles that are not in its class. If you wanted 3rd row seating why were you even driving the Edge? Ford has other vehicles with 3rd row. To each his own, but for the $$$ the Edge is the best in it's class. JMHO.
  7. Mine seems like it is built very well. 1000 miles and no creaks or cracks or thumps or wind noise anywhere. It's an SEL plus AWD with vista roof... Love it. You should get one. Screw the Saturn, GM blows.
  8. SCT Xcalibrator 2. It is a hand held unit that you can purchase from Torrie with the tune already on it. He can then adjust the tune if need be via email. The tuner is USB compatible so thats how you get the tune from your email to the unit. I believe price is $399 for the tuner with his tune on it. I paid that when I got it for my '05 escape and then when I switched to the Edge I had to pay $100 for the Edge files. It's a better vehicle now and as soon as we can figure all the little nuiances to the 6sp tranny, it will be even better!
  9. Read my post above. Ours has a vista roof and those are the numbers we have been getting.
  10. Got the tune in the Edge and the car feels a ton better, MPG went up about 1mpg on the Hwy and I'd have to say 3 in the city. I only have about 100 miles on since install but it feels great. We are still ironing out some things but should be handled soon! I have to recommend this to anyone who wants a bit more performance out of their 3.5L Duratec Torrie from the fast parts network tuned this car and my 05 Escape. Customer service is second to none and in both tunes performance and MPG were up... www.fastpartsnetwork.com torrie@fastpartsnetwork.com Tell him Jared recommended him.
  11. I imagine that once you decide what you want you'll be able to go to a dealer lot and get whatever you want. I bet order/delivery times will speed up too and don't forget the xmas break that my car had to go through...
  12. I ordered mine in Nov. Black, 18in chromies, Navigation, Vista Roof, Leather, AWD... I have to say, this is a great vehicle. We have plenty of snow and ice on the ground here in CO and the AWD is very nice. The 3.5L V6 has good power (neck and neck with a chipped, intake, exhaust, 4.10 geared silverado 1500 5.3L). The Vista roof is awesome. The looks are great. The comfort and ergonomics are very nice. Audiophile sound system is probably too much for the average consumer. Interior noise is NON-EXISTANT!! The dual climate controls are perfect. I'm a fat-ass and my girl is skinny so I like the temp about -20 and she likes it about 400 and it works great. We've only put 300 miles on it and average fuel economy in town is probably 18-20 mph. Running 55-60 MPH is about 28-30 and running 60-70 is about 25-28.. Not bad at all. Overall I'd rate it very well. If you have the chance and this type of vehicle is what you want, give it a fair shake. I think you'll be impressed! Good job Ford!!!
  13. well, I guess it's gonna be up to me on this one... I'll report back when I find out.
  14. In town we are seeing 16-20 Highway at 55-60 we are seeing 27-30 Highway at 65-70 it's about 24-27 We have an AWD edge with 18" chromies I'll bet with and intake and exhaust and a decent tune we could bump those numbers by 2-3 MPG!!!
  15. If you are that worked up about it, why not just go search other dealers lots?
  16. Can someone help me out with this one? Fingers crossed that it's on its way!!! Thanks in advance. 2FMDK49C57BA57850
  17. Just shop talk but I've heard you can get hacks or discs to load into your disc player and actually personalize your touch screen with your name or screensavers. Anyone heard of this? My edge will be here in a couple weeks (fingers crossed) and I'm interested in doing this...
  18. Like the title says. Does anyone know where to find performance parts for the 3.5L Duratec? I"m only lookin for the simple stuff, intake, exhaust, throttle body... My girl has an escape now and we have a tune on it from Torrie at the fast parts network. He says he can reflash my XCAL 2 and tune the edge too so if anyone is lookin for a little more power. His email is torrie@fastpartsnetwork.com. The escape picked up about 1mpg and it is quite a bit more fun to drive. If you want the tune expect to pay 400 for the XCAL 2 with his tune on it. It's worth it. Edge is supposed to arrive feb 5th. Can't wait. :hyper:
  19. I'd like to add my thanks to the Edge team... I turned in my screamin' yellow '04 Cobra 'vert for a dark amethyst SEL w/ AWD and the BAMR! Love it. Fit and finish are excellent, and it is soooooooooo quiet! Thanks, and good luck! YOU DID WHAT???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
