Sounds weird but hold it under your chin while pushing the button (and hold it down for 2 or 3 seconds). Dunno why and it works with all remote start devices. I thought it was crazy when my friend told me about it. It works for me, it might work for you too. Try it out and report findings.

Cool. I haven't seen a N/A vehicle REQUIRE a tune and I wouldn't bet this is any different. Someone buy my tuner, get a drop in K & N and call it a day. It will be the best $150 or less you spend on your Edge!

Yes. Mustang GT500's require a tune with a CAI upgrade because of the MAF. It might be the same on the Edge but I would just get a drop in K & N and a tune and call it a day.

Lex, I have a tuner from my 07 Edge with tunes from EVO. You could purchase my tuner and have it reset by steeda if they would be so kind. They might not want to do it because they won't sell a new unit. SCT XCAL3 p/n3000 for ford vehicles. Let me know, $75 shipped! Then you'll probably have to pay $100 for their tune. I doubt it's different than EVO's.

I use a drop in on our MKX. Performance wise I'm not sure if I could tell a difference. Mileage wise I believe it helps based on just looking at the mileage WAG'd by the computer. Where I think it really help is $$$. You don't have to spend money on new paper filters every 5k miles so that makes it worth it right there. If you drive in an urban area you don't have to worry about getting any unwanted particles in your engine. We run ours on dirt roads all the time and have had no problems in 25k miles.

I would say no, unless you have an asshole dealer/service department or you blow the engine by adjusting the tune yourself with 50 degrees extra timing or some dumb shit like that. The tune that comes on the tuner is 100% safe IMHO.

Injectors warming up? My mustang does it too. I wouldn't worry about it at all.

Fair enough. I have my tuner for my 07 Edge with a 91 octane tune for sale $300 shipped if you're interested. I saw about 2mpg increase with the tune and the power was very noticeable. Save yourself $100 bucks.

you have an AWD dyno or how did you arrive at those hp numbers? That has to be engine HP because there is no way they can put down 300 to the tire.

I'm not worried about not selling it. When I buy another ford I can use the tuner again. Just trying to give someone a decent deal is all.

We all know the concept. Just use something that looks good like a plastic of aluminum tube instead of dryer hose. Thats all we're saying. As far as a 10k or 18k mod like the diesels or a resistor on the MAF, why not just buy a tuner and then you can have full control of timing and fuel? I know its cheaper but the gain is going to be minimal compared to a tuner/custom tune. Just MHO.
