  1. Dingo is an outspoken critic of the K&N, although, many members use it.
  2. I'm not a huge fan of DTR... but I have expensive aftermarket batteries and a substage so I'm more concerned about making the batts last as long as possible. If the wife's happy, that's what matters.
  3. Autoanything.com also has a lowest price promise, as well as a some% off for first time buyers. Try there for the exhaust, brake lines. Steeda has the cheapest springs I've found, I believe. Definitely consider Daytime Bright Lites and upgrading to aftermarket HIDs. Also: TINT THOSE WINDOWS!
  4. While there are cheaper options, none are near as good quality, output, or build. Besides, customer service is incredible, and you can't ever feel bad about supporting a local (to the forum) small business. I notice the difference every time my doors close at night. My ebay map lights are quite inferior to my DTBL in my dome.
  5. I don't know that 10" wheels would allow you to not feel train tracks... I always feel those. Besides, if you're going fast enough, usually you can jump them... nahh not really.
  6. I'm considering them for a back-to-school present to myself. Although, the older edge headlights seem to limit my options compared to the second gens'.
  7. Same thing happened to mine, but I don't honk a whole lot, so I haven't really cared to fix it.
  8. Not bad at all! I was a little disappointed after I bought mine to find out that they had spray painted the steering wheel the stock color to hide the wear... grrr..
  9. lxi, did you get it from a dealer and did it come with a warranty? That's so cheap!
  10. JL has a shallow, as well as a W0 series. Sundown caries an E and SD line. Unless I'm really unaware of how little room there is there. I know I was looking at a Crescendo midbass driver at one point.
  11. Pretty badass. Maybe if I owned something fast or sporty.
  12. I'd agree with Dingo. You can make a mounting ring to fit your sub in a bigger opening, or build something to extend it far enough out to make it fit a smaller opening. I did it with my brother's door speakers. Try Sundown or SSA. Of the budget, factory-made subs, I like Alpine and have found that JL's lower end subs are budget-friendly.
  13. That's a deal! I paid 19 for an '08 SEL with 69k.
  14. Hah! Enticing, but that's the exact plan I have. 22s with summer tires, and my stock gunmetal 18s with all-seasons for the winter. I'll look for them in the classifieds.
  15. Not sure what harness I used. Recently pulled out the HU, wiggled some wires, redid my steering wheel controls, and now my radio works great. Also have a stubby antenna.
  16. Seems like the combo I'd go with. Just not sure I want badass over classy.
  17. I can't believe that they would actually make you order if their product details say that the solution is fixed and doesn't specify that some vehicles may need an adapter.
  18. All the lowered edges make me want to drop mine, but then I need 22s to accompany it, and that's a lot of cash to fork over at once.
  19. Thanks! This might be a fun project to take up when summer gets a little boring. Maybe I'll put in some yellow fogs you know, to represent the Wolverines, since my truck is blue...
  20. Crazy! lol I just fixed my connections in my stereo. Radio works just as well as it did with the normal antenna!
  21. I bought my car used, put about 10k on the stock continentals in a year and they still look great. Michelin's also nice.
  22. I'm not sure how much that is, but it might not work. The piece I mounted the camera on isn't flat, it's slanted about 30 degrees, so that camera seems like it would look directly down.
