  1. Have the AC drain tube checked for blockage. While ac is on, if there is no dripping under the car it may be clogged. Happened to me 2 yrs ago. 2007 sel
  2. When my battery went dead the remote would not unlock the doors. So I took the wife's car to the dealer to have it towed because I couldn't get in the car to jump it. The guy looked at me and said "did you try the key?" ooops
  3. Make sure your airconditioner drain tube isn't stopped up. It happened to my 07 about a year ago. The water will also cause damage to sensors and other electrical parts. You almost have to put the car on a lift to check it.
  4. I had the same problem with my 07. Same one button fob. Dealer replaced an internal part/sensor/diod/????. Around $60. That was 4 years ago. It's been ok since.
  5. Had the same problem years ago. 2007 sel+ The dealer replaced some part inside the remote starter. Has been fine since.
  6. Also be aware that these ins companies will use absolutely every excuse in the book to keep from paying. If they refuse a claim, what can you do? They know you will not sue them over a few hundred bucks.
  7. Gap coverage was the wrong term. Its a extended warranty. They did say it was a maintenance item. Of course they are reaching for an excuse. Thats how they make money. No matter how much I stated my case, no dice. They know they wont be sued over $500.
  8. Yes My 2007 is at the dealer right now. The tube that lets condensation from the AC(that drip under the car when the AC is on) is blocked. Thats the water you hear sloshing. In my case the water did some damage to a sensor or something and its going to cost $500 to repair. I have gap insurance(CNA) thru my local dealer but they refuse to pay for any WATER DAMAGE due to any blockage. They say its in the contract. Needless to say its the last time I get an extended warrenty. I think everyone should check this tube or have it checked every summer. Its just not something you think about, until its too late.
  9. 07 SEL+ I have hauled 5 sets many times. It's a tight squeeze.
  10. 07 sel+ Fwd 55,000 I got rid of the oem Conti's at 45,000. Could have gone longer but one tire had a bad band that caused a thumping noise. Replaced them with Michelin LTX MS which are great. Brakes are still good.
  11. Yes it is luck. Akirby said "nary a repair". Then you list all the repairs you've had to do over the years. I know the warrenty is a gamble, but don't try totell this old guy if you maintain your car you won't have problems. Sometimes things break, like the AC for example.
  12. That is a run of incredible luck. If I were you I would knock on wood, then go gambling somewhere. That's what I do. 07 Edge 53,000 miles Zero problems
