  1. Just a thought, would led replacement bulbs help with the heat issue? they don't generate much if any heat at all so maybe that'd help.
  2. Welcome and Congrats! I'm an LI guy too, my wife and I got ours due to Hurricane Sandy but it's been great since. Just had a nice lil Xmas roadtrip to CT today and it was a pleasure to drive.
  3. common sense that the car has clear coat and it makes all the sense in the world to have a protective coat of wax on top of the clear coat so you don't have to wait til the "clear coat is not quite so bright" A good coat of a good wax will prolong the nice appearance of your car. Even in Florida with the stronger sun rays you can get sun fade and what not.
  4. Thanks guys..just got the lamin-x headlight film to tint and protect the lenses..had surgery on my shoulder yesterday so that install will be a lil delayed
  5. Welcome aboard! I'm also a new Edge owner due to Sandy as well..damn that storm! The most important thing is you and your family safe and as a bonus you got a cool new ride!
  6. HAHA Joe you are absolutely right about the winters, I didn't see that part about the temperature thanks for the heads up. I had a nice polisher but that got destroyed amongst a ton of other tools and belongings with the B*&^H Hurricane Sandy! dammit.. I never checked out BJ's for detailing products, I guess I should! I hate to go places like that around holiday time. All those crazy people shopping leads me to amazon lol.
  7. Hey Joe, The dealer threw it in, actually the first 2 treatments so around May or so I'll be back for the second treatment. I took the advice and got the Collinite as well though, the autobutler may be good but I'd rather play it safe.
  8. Noob question here... you guys use the 9006 or 9005 kits? any additional harness? I've read a bit on here about flickering and what not
  9. The dealer I got it from has this deal with "autobutler" when you first purchase and then 6 months later.. Not sure if it's legit but I'll check into your recommendations as well! Here's a link http://hempsteadford.com/auto_butler.htm
  10. I've been using Griots for about a year and a half now with nice results. Never had an issue with scratches or swirls left behind but any heavy dirt I'd prefer soap and water of course. The kit they have on amazon comes with perfect towels to get it done.. http://www.amazon.com/Griots-Garage-11285-Spray-On-Wash/dp/B003V3RVWI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1355031384&sr=8-2&keywords=griots+waterless+car+wash
  11. Hey everyone, Just dropping in, recently got a 2013 SEL Appearance pkg in ruby red. I've always been a part of forums with whatever cars I've owned and learned from all of them (prelude,jetta,tsx,cbr600,etc.) I'll be on here mostly reading but any time I can lend an answer to anyone I won't hesitate. Looking forward to the experience. Thanks, Sean
