After driving the Edge to Sedona, AZ yesterday, I noticed a message that said "Service AdvanceTrak". Has anyone seen that? If so, what is it an indication of?

Dan, when you get these with a 5000K LED, I am interested in testing.

I have come to the conclusion that TRS is a very dangerous site for my pocketbook. That road trip to Buckeye (nee, rural) AZ really has me thinking of ways to seriously upgrade the headlights in the Edge. This is what I have in mind.... a) Replace stock headlight capsules with HID equipped versions from Levittown Ford or Ebay (minus bulbs and stock ballasts) and upgrade to a 50w 5000K D3S bi-xenon kit. Upgrade Stock Halogen Projectors to a 5000K D2S Bi-Xenon setup and one of the clear lenses from TRS Obviously, there are going to be a lot of questions about changing the projector. Can it be done easily without screwing things up? What is the diameter of the lens?

Now, after reading the TRS site, I am also wondering about doing a lens upgrade. Would it be possible with the stock projectors? If so, how big are they?

candurin: The recent drive to Buckeye, AZ is making me think about this and the LED bar very hard.

My 2011 is approaching 45,000 miles. May not seem like a lot but I did buy it with 18,199 on the clock. I am going to do a full 45k service on it including changing the trans fluid and coolant. I really need to do that and replace my battery before summer hits down here.

I've been running 89 on both Edges and will do premium once a month or (maybe) when I am on the highway. However, I do see a difference in how fast some brands burn than others. Chevron seems to go through like water.

I am considering upgrading my HIDs to 50w. I may look at the TRS kits.

I only know of one out in Phoenix. The one we had in Scottsdale closed.

Mine were simple PnP and still working fine to this date. They've already survived one Phoenix summer.

I have heard of some folks putting tint on the inside in order to lower the amount of heat.

The picture I showed was a person who used two different tints for his windshield. The bottom is the Airblue 80.

If you disconnect and reconnect your drive, the system will have to index the music which is what's responsible for your lag. As another poster said, the processors for mobile have not caught up with mainstream PCs (save for those with carputers or a MacMini). I have an 80 GB iPod and a 120 GB WD drive. I can use either one to play music from after they index.

Ryan, Welcome to the forum. Most of the guys on here use conversion kits. Case in point, I use a 35w 9006 kit. HID kits come in three wattage levels. The first is 35w. A 35w kit has the distinct advantage in that a separate harness to the battery is not needed. Pretty much plug and play. The second is a 50 or 55w kit. These have a more intense output but require a separate relay harness for the battery in order to provide consistent power. Where it can get confusing is color temperature, referred to as K or Kelvin. The optional HIDs for the Edge are between 4150K and 4300K which is white with a very slight hint of blue or yellow. I have a 5000K which is white with a very small hint of blue. Most of us on here have 4000K - 6000K kits. The thing to remember is that when you go higher in color temperature, your light output measured in lumens suffers. It's the latch. If the WD-40 does not work, take it to the dealer to have them replace it.

It's actually quite nice. Many people who have seen my Edge are very shocked when I tell them my windshield is tinted. The tint I have is Llumar AirBlue 80 and most folks think it's the stock windshield. The above pic was taken from a Smart car Forum where a member tinted his windshield mostly with AirBlue 80. As you can see, the clarity is there and it definitely does not interfere with night driving (and I have driven in some pitch black areas).

I am curious about reliability as well. My wife has been drooling over them.

In PHX, there are a LOT of Edges running around. The distribution is 50/50 as well. However, 2nd Gen Sports are not that plentiful down here but the other trims are. In fact, I do run into Limiteds like mine quite often.

I know someone that is getting one. I can't wait to check it out up close.
