For those of you who have installed an amp, did you run the power cable and rca cables down opposite sides of the car? I've mostly heard it varies based on the quality of the cables you have. In my last car, I installed cheap components found at walmart. Ran all cables down the passenger side but experienced noise, so I rerouted the power cable down the driver side and the interference noise went away. This time around, I will be installing quality components with a JVC amp and Knukonceptz amp install kit

I keep checking the stick but its hard to get an actual level cuz the entire stick is covered in oil. Anyone have this too?

My owners manual says 6 quarts, but I see numerous websites say its 5.5 quarts. Anyone else have confusion too and have any word on this?

Not happy here. Ive owned my SEL for 2 months now. Mine was special ordered cuz i got the appearence package. Dealer was suppose to call me when putting in the order. They did not. MFT and the sunroof was not ordered. I requested those options be added but was told once an order gets put into the system, its locked. I asked that the order be cancelled and my $2500 down payment be returned to me. I was told there were no refunds on special orders and that the order could not be cancelled either. Said if i didnt want the car then i would just lose my money. I later find out that orders arent locked until a production date is scheduled, which didnt happen til bout 6 weeks later. When i called out the dealer on that fact, they changed their story saying they didnt want to add the options cuz they didnt want to delay my order. Said its my fault for taking delivery of the vehicle. They werent gonna fix the order nor refund my money, so how is a retarded salesman my fault? I emailed Ford corporate, but they said this is a sales issue and that they generally dont intervine between customers and dealerships. I think this is total BS. How is Ford gonna let a dealership taint their brand by some crummy salesman? Now im stuck paying over $500 a month for a car i dont even want

When you place an order for a vehicle, does anyone know at what point you can't change options on the order? I've read you can't change anything once a VIN is assigned, but the dealer is saying something different

I just replaced this myself. It does not need painting. There are a few screws on each side and one in the middle to remove. There is also one rivet on each side as well. I did not see a way to remove them, so i ended up just cutting them off. I replaced them with plastic panel clips found at auto part stores. After u remove the screws and two rivets, just start pulling outward. The rest is just snapped into place

Anyone know if the Sony stereo actually says Sony on it somewhere? I see some listed for sale but the label still says Clarion, just like the basic factory unit

I found out that the bulb is indeed for the shifter illumination, but I have a piece that is broken, so I had to tape the bulb in place

Anyone know if it uses a different harness compared to the other factory stereo?

I dont have ambient lighting, so i wonder where this goes or if i have another bulb loose in there. How do i remove the shifter boot so i can remove the cupholder console section?

For the SEL, you will need an audio processor like the Lc2i. It splices into your speaker wires coming off the head unit. You then plug your amp into the processor

No one knows if the gear letters should be lit up?

Yea my box looks exactly like that, but when I ran the part number on the back, it came up with the Lincoln 9" THX enclosure

Doing some research, it appears my box is the Lincoln 9" box, NOT the Edge box the auction said it was....

Just got a Boston sub. Fits the same as the kicker. All mounting points are 1 inch apart
