  1. Hmmmm.. gave it a very good loom again and it seems I'm on the right path. That little circle is indeed a button. I managed to press on it and it pushes in like a button. But all it does is push in, I'm not sure if you are suppose to push in real hard or push in and lift? All it does is push in. There's definitely a sprint in the button. Any clues?

  2. Hi guys, does anyone know what the back I'm doing wrong? That's my trunk opening for the emergency release latch. It's just a hole, I just don't know which way to push, pull, twist to get it to unlock. I found that diagram that went with that picture that looks exactly like my truck. Just a hex, and a hole on the left. Is that diagram correct? Anyone released this type ? Also, where so  start prying to remove the whole plastic cover to replace the latch of I need too? Any advice is AWRSOME.  Tired of no trunk. :(

  3. Also.... Just checked my 2015 2.0L easy fuel entry. First door is not locked by any clips, just a dustor debris door, now the 2nd entry door door push in with my finger. No latch or anything that makes it lock unless you stick in a fuel nozzle. Can ANYone confirm this on their 2015 please?

  4. Ok, came across this video. Does anyone know if this PUSH the fuel door test is the same with the Edge?  The guy says that the door latch SHOULD not push open with your fingers. Just wondering if this applies the the edge.

MMO is an old name, perhaps Mystery Fluid will soothe the senses better :)  Even transmission fluid is simply a lighter version of engine oil.  And no, in the specified ratio, MMO does no harm.

So you can dump that mystery oil straight inside the gas tank? That's what you are saying? What are the benefits?

Might sound offthewall (no pun intended), but you can try adding 1 oz of Marvel Mystery Oil per 5 gallons of fuel to the gas tank. That and Amsoil Signature oil are the 2 items I know from a reliable source work to quiet down these Ecoboost engines.

Wait.... You can dump oil inside the gas tank? Really? Won't that do long term damage?

  7. My 2015 SE V6 model lasted to 189k miles before the water pump gave out. About 2400$ to fix since it's internal and runs of the TIMING CHAIN ?.  Very good car though, never left me stranded. My current 2015 has also been very good. Just had my first CEL, p0456. Currently looking into it.

  8. It should be behind the driver side wheel well. You might have to remove the cover. I changed my fluid recently and I measured the amount that came out and put it in. Also... If the car is level... It drains almost exactly 5 qts.  But keep in mind, it's a 2015 2.0L model. Not sure if you have the same.

There is a purge valve I think, but Ford probably lists it as a "hose assembly". Seen that a LOT lately. On the 3.5 EB, you can actually find the purge valve as a separate part. But on smaller engines, assemblies are much more common.

Is this diagram valid for the 2015 2.0L model?

Also, if you remove this Valve... Can you do the mouth blow test? :)

  10. This seems to be very common on Ford cars. Mines just threw it. Figured it was the purge solenoid. But this doesn't have one like the V6.

Has anyone has their 2015 titanium model throw this code and found the problem? I will try cleaning the filler neck with the adapter first then move to the solenoid and finally the tank. Any tips on what to look for after the filler neck clean? Thanks guys. This car has been very reliable and still love it. Btw... Just hit 80k miles.

  11. Yep, lower small tapered bolt. Torque spec? I couldn't find it online.  Its a 11mm socket. Mines has a large plastic cover that hides the whole engine/tranny bay. 10 star type screws to take it off. Then easy job. I bought 12qts, so keeping the car driver side jacked about 1 foot made it drain almost exactly 4qts. Dropping the car level would have given me 5qts I noticed.  But wanted to drain it 3 times at least with 4qts each time. Runs good. But it did come out black like heck. Reading online... merconLV goes black quick I think.
