  1. 2008 edge with 74,000. Only problem I have had was a the steering pump and rear end. (AWD) I don't blame the car though, I bought it used and the person that had it before me apparently did not keep up with the service on the vehicle. They never changed or checked the fluids at the dealership when I went to buy it, but they covered everything and then some when the items failed. My one suggestion would be to ask them to change all of the fluids on the car before you buy it. My son gets his lisence in a few years, and I plan on giving the Edge to him. You can always get unlucky no matter what vehicle you buy, but I think you should be OK with one of these.
  2. That's very cool, and he looks like a sweet heart. The shelter my son and I volunteer at is having problems with their heaters, so we ended up taking home one of the little dogs, until the weather gets warmer. She's a Rat terrier mix. and a heck of a good dog. I was a little worried that the wife was going to get attached to her, until she jumped on the counter at Thanksgiving and started eating the turkey. The expereinces I've had with most of the shelter dogs is that they are all really great around people and most other dogs ( probabaly from being handled so much).
  3. It was in addition to the more comprehensive 1 year / 100000. As far as how much i want to say around 900.00 but i figured if i had the AWD issue it would pay for itself.
  4. My 2008 SEL does this too. But the dealer told me it is normal and has something to do with teh materials used in the brakes. I tried anti sqeal ( or whatever the stuff is called) and it still happens. It doesn't seem to effect how well the brakes work so i am just dealing with it at this point.
  5. I bought my 2008 SEL as a CPO with 68000 on it. I also was able to get an extended warranty that covers the car for another 3 years 45000 mi. I paid 15500 for it, and couldn't beat that deal. It's not the newer style, but i like it.
  6. Redfire metallic. I just wish I had gotten the black interior.
  7. I would second the Nevr-Dull. Like Sixponies, I was introduced to this in Boot camp. But unlike bootcamp, I can't get in trouble for using it now. I alwys keep a can of this stuff on hand. It works great and does not scratch the metal.
  8. I am new to the forum, and usually wait until I have a question to post. But this brings back all sorts of feelings for me. I had a neighbor that beat my dog to death several years ago. I came home from work and found her, still on her run. The neighbor said the barking was bothering him. Sammy was born without the ability to bark. I don't know about your state, but in my case anyway, the penalty that was brought against my neighbor was 10,000 fine for animal creulty, 1 year in jail and 5 years probabtion. Even with that I know I will never get Sammy back. I feel for you, and I hope you get justice for him.
