  1. Ford Edge 2010 around 165K miles. 2010 is the last year of the more susceptible to pump failure with it's single link bike chain. I always changed the oil and filter at 3k to 4k and made sure I used the latest coolant. I have the oil tested so that I know if there is even a slight leak and so far so good. That said, I'm starting to hear a slight chain slap when I goose the gas pedal so decided to open it up and change everything but the Cam phasers and chains. Standing in front of the car, I took the rear valve cover off and poked around. I noticed slack in both chains....not good. Hope this helps some one.
  2. Similar stud mount wire mount The GM Part Number: 15304748, it is a Cadillac stud mount used for the battery or HELLERMANNTYTON 156-01547 Stud Mount Tie I just bought 40PC HELLERMANNTYTON 156-01547 Stud Mount Tie, on Ebay for $17.63.
  3. Like so many others my 2010 Edge had a bad booster. I took it to the dealer but my vin# was not covered, the Ford motor company confirmed the same. I paid the $60 diagnostic fee and took the car home. I just couldn't justify paying $700.00 to remove 4 nuts near the brake pedal and a few nuts holding the master cylinder... or so I thought. What I didn't realize was that I would need to remove the battery, battery tray, wiper blades, black vent cover at the bottom of the windshield and loosen wiper catch tray so that I could raise the tray enough to get an extra 4 to 6 inches of clearance. Removing and installing the booster is tight but with the wiper catch tray loose it's manageable. It's not complicated or hard, its just a lot of screws. Keep in mind, you don't need to unbolt the wiper motor and linkage, just the black plastic catch tray. One other thing, in the instructions they tell you to first remove the switch that controls the brake lights, I didn't. Bad Idea. I broke the switch, my brake lights never turned off and the brakes dragged. Sooooooo, back to the dealer to picked up brake switch SW-6559 8T4Z-13480-A . Total cost ...$59.95 for the diagnostic, $149.99 for the booster and $50.66 for the switch I needlessly broke...I still saved enough to buy new tires. I Hope this helps.
