  1. Car is still at dealer. Now they say they want to try replacing some "adjuster" but again they have to order the part (which is getting really old)...They did not have any details. What kind of adjuster could they be talking about? This is the one thing I do not like about Ford Service is all of the messages are going through the service advisers who are NOT mechanics.
  2. With that said, wouldn't replacing the whole intake with a K&N cold air intake fix this issue since there's no silencer boxes in between?
  3. I'm guessing it just may be that the BT signal/antenna in the car is just not that good? Even BT audio messes up sometimes in the car but I don't have the same experience when using my phone with the Bose box.... I don't have a bluetooth earpiece but if any of you do, have you tried testing that with your phone? Seems like this may just be one of those issues... but of course doesn't hurt to mention when bringing it into maintenance.
  4. Dealer says they use motorcraft, is there something I'm missing?
  5. Isn't the Sport supposed to have stiffer "sport tuned" suspension compared to the SEL? I'll see if I can get a new left strut installed (I'll pay for it if I have to). As of now I am not that impressed with the suspension so I'm looking for something stiffer. But then again, maybe replacing that left is all I need.
  6. Thank you! I will be sure to mention this when I bring the car back. Again, the right front strut was busted when I bought the car so who knows what this person drove through before trading it in, although I did not notice any damage to the rim. Maybe I can get then to also replace the left strut since it doesn't match the new right one. if not, I'm thinking of replacing them both with some better quality struts perhaps.
  7. They completed the work under the TSB on Friday but the mechanic reported that now the steering wheel was pulling to the left. I took the car back for the weekend and I'm bringing it back today for them to continue to work on it. I confirmed it. The steering wheel now pulls left a bit and it still reacts to the torque of the car. When I'm on the highway I can feel the wheel move just a but when I the car upshifts. I think the pulling when on a curve and changing lanes issue has gotten a little better but hard to tell. Definitely still something up with the steering.. I asked about the ball joints and they reported that they are fine. We'll see what happens now...I believe they just finished the TSB work and took it for a test drive when I picked it up so I don't believe the mechanic had a chance to really troubleshoot the issue at that point. I just wanted my car back for the weekend because I'm too big for a Fusion and no work would get done on the weekend anyway...
  8. I have a question about car AC systems. Does setting a higher temperature save energy and gas as a home AC would? Seems to me that car AC's use the fan blower for climate control vs a home ac that turns on and off..
  9. I never even noticed this in my 3.5 SEL. Thank you for the explanation!
  10. I heard about this Torque steer for the first time recently. This never happened with any other FWD I've ever driven. Why this car and is there a fix? (I hear there isn't whcih boggles my mind.
  11. Thanks. The pulling I was experiencing was actually in either direction when switching lanes but the steering wheel did always pull to the right when accelerating. Hopefully my issue is somehow addressed through and they check the ball joints anyway.

    Tire Pressure

Thanks! I also figured that the PSI was set correctly since I bough this car in June and it was "certified pre-owned"....But in hindsight, since they sold me a car with a busted strut I should know better than to trust that dealership's service dept. I'll make sure I get these tires back to their proper psi. Thanks!
  13. Well that's good to hear and it doesn't make me look crazy anymore. I'll definitely keep everyone updated.
  14. Spoke to SA. Apparently there is a TSB for my issue but she did not have any information yet.

    Tire Pressure

What is the reccomended tire pressure for the Pirelli Scorpions? (265/40/22) The sticker in the door says 35psi but I don't know how that is possible when my SEL's 245/65/18's were 35. My fronts are 26 and rears are at 28. there is no TPMI light on either... Visually they look perfectly normal so I am bit confused...
  16. They are and I told them about the ball joints. Hopefully they see an issue.
  17. Took it to Ford and Mechanic took it for test drive with me in the car. He did not notice anything and I'm sitting there looking like I'm crazy. They said they will check further. I really hope they find something.....
  18. Thanks! Again, the dealer did check the alignment and it was fine, but it was the computer. They placed these contraptions on the front wheel and push/rolled the car like 2 feet and done..Alignment was fine. Could that have been a false positive or will that test NOT find what we're talking about?
  19. Is there anything I'd be able to visually inspect?
  20. Yes will look into the struts but I'm planning to replace them all at 100K anyway with aftermarkets perhaps...im at 70K now
  21. Thank you for the feedback! I will look into this.
  22. Guessing the left strut is original.. Well it was the dealer who did it and I hear they will never replace something that isn't broke. I already left the dealer's service dept a bad review, for selling me a car with a busted strut so I won't go back there and when I take my car to my regular dealer (where I get service) they will probably tell me tough luck. ( I have the premium warranty but I already got pushback from an advisor on the coverage for alignment/suspension issues.) My fear is they will point me back to the original dealer who I will not deal with again.....
  23. I have the (265/40/22) wheels. I came from the SEL (245/60/18) There is a humming sound coming from the left front side. it sounds like there is a loose arm bar or something that vibrates but only when the road is a certain texture.. In general when I switch lanes the steering gets a little wobbly and pulls to the other side, I thought it was the size of the wheels at first but I doubt it. Also, when I accelerate more on the freeway, the steering wheel jerks a little to the right. The other day in the rain, I accelerated to pass someone, and the left wheel slipped for s sec...all this happens on the freeway at 50+mph. The right front strut was busted when I got the car so they replaced only that one and I just had the alignmne checked and it passed. I've had some suggestions on another thread and have these links. http://www.aa1car.co...ry/steerpul.htm http://www.agcoauto....2_articleid/307 I'm hoping it's not torque pull and I don't think it has anything to do with the tires... I'm thinking it has something to do with either the steering column or some kind of steering arm bar or bearing or something.
