  1. Any Idea how much a shop would charge to color match the black plastic ones with the body?
  2. I just ordered LED switch backs for my turn signals can't wait to install them. http://www.ebay.com/itm/330876957490?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
  3. May all the Ford Edge Hood Latching Mechanisms be adjusted properly from this day forward! LOL!
  4. Awesome... Thanx! i'll post an update when they come in. Only way to really know for sure.
  5. Oh, I was under the impression that no resistor would be needed because it is a Type 1.
  6. I wasn't sure what the 3157 meant. should I look for a 33 or 3457 instead? I don't want to burn anything up. that's for sure.
  7. boy a hard plastic one would be nice. Like what comes in a hatch back.
  8. It was pretty easy. The heat shield was a bit of a challenge. I made a mock up out of cardboard first, then cut the pattern out of sheet metal.
  9. Looks sweet! Has any one made one of these for the Edge out of off the shelf parts? I made one for my Pontiac, for around 50 bucks. Worked great, noticeable difference, no idiot light, passes smog. I always had aspirations of finishing it off with the front pipe, but never got to it...
  10. I just ordered these 80 LED switchback turn signal bulbs for the front turn signals of my 2013 Limited. 18 bucks out the door, with free shipping didn't seem like a bad price compared to some others that I have seen. I'm told from the seller that these are Type 1, 6000K, 80 LED, for 3157 sockets. Seems like the right thing to me? http://www.ebay.com/itm/330876957490?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
  11. Yup.. Yup.. I used a 5/16 gear wrench, though this could be better accomplished with a small socket and ratchet. There are two bolts that secure the latching mechanism to the chassis. Loosen both bolts until you can move the mechanism, but do not completely remove the bolts. The bolt on your right has a slotted hole. You can slide the mechanism all the way up and tighten the bolts. Test it a few times to ensure that further adjustment is not necessary, and you are done. I have found that after this adjustment I can latch my hood with light pressure. and unlatching from inside is quieter. Clear as mud! I hope this helps!
  12. Thanx! A quick trip to the auto parts store for some over priced light bulbs, and I'm happy for the moment. After reading up a bit I realized that I can get the same thing much cheaper online and have allot more options. I'm planning on Installing LED Type 1 switchbacks in the front turn signals next. HID would be second in line. Then LEDs in the rear, and after that, I want to install halos. I've also been thinking of painting the black plastic in the bumpers and rocker panels to match the body.
  13. I want to do this to my 2013 Limited. Users on the forums for my Pontiac have detailed how to disassemble, modify and reassemble the headlight housings. The GM adhesive used on specific year headlght housings can be softened by putting them in the oven. Some owners were not so lucky though. I take it Ford's come apart the same way? Also are these CFL? Looks Awesome!
  14. Thank you! I have the same issue. I can't wait to fix it. unbelievable that the dealer said they were all like that. I hate dropping a hood closed. It's just dumb.
  15. That didn't take long. I just replaced the interior lights and the license plate bulbs with LEDs! Going to do the mirrors and turn signals next! I'll get some pics up when the sun goes down.
  16. Hello all. I just got my 2013 limited. Here are a few pics! I got a few mods in mind that I may need help with: LED Swaps HID headlights Color match lower bumpers and rocker panels Custom Ford emblems
