  1. Nice!!! 2500 miles was nothing. ours seems the same it did day 1 and it's now got 20,000 on her. (i didn't like that color the first few times i saw it, but now i Really like it)
  2. i would say it's a good deal. (when you drive it off the lot it'll be worth maybe what you'll have in it though) i paid 12K down on ours and currently it's worth $1k more than i owe. i Hate the loss cars take (we have an 07 SEL+ w/ 20,000 miles, and it's trade in is around 18K right now. Grrrrr. i went to trade it for a 09 Charger SRT last week, but they needed to take another $7K off their price before i woulda done it. The EDGE's interior was MUCH nicer than the SRT's. of course the Power the SRT had trumped the EDGE. STill happy with the EDGE.
  3. Yep! bulldog there as well. great site. (you do track?)
  4. we had a little excitement last summer (our son had just left the house and 5 minutes later called and said they'd been hit and the car left, and his girlfriend wa shurt) my wife was hysterical, i told her to call the police, i told my girls to get into the car (8,5 at the time) and we headed out. i drove the EDGE extremely aggressive down our gravel road, it performed perfectly. i could feel the front wheels spinning and it drifted great. (Son and girlfriend were OK, airbag hit her in the mouth and busted lip pretty good, and hurt her back) the car didn't run, it was knocked down into the valley. my girls did NOT want to ride back with me, i scared them w/ my driving. Moral to the story: it performed great in the gravel!!!
  5. sounds like me. wife gets the EDGE, i get the 08 hyundai accent hatch and a 07 CBR1000RR (not that i'm complaining)
  6. congrats, it's a nice ride. where to start?>>>brakes (they don't like to stop all that well, but you'll get used to it)
  7. got rid of our 8 passenger tahoe, and only miss it when the kids (3 of them) need to bring friends along. (which is good for me:)) i still like our EDGE even after 15 months, i usually get bored w/ new cars after about 6 months but this one's nice everytime (she) let's me drive it. gotta say after nearly a year of owning my 08 hyundai accent 3dr (still like it too) my commuter car.
  8. i have a black one, and on the top it's peeled off about 1"x1". gotta get it to the dealer to fix it. (hopefully it's a warranty issue)
  9. :plusone: haven't tried the spray yet though. will soon though. love the ICE product.
  10. my parents have a Montego and around 20,000miles the passenger rotor rear went bad and it was replaced under warranty. after warranty was out the drivers side went bad, she has to pay to get it fixed ($280) only car they've ever owned that they didn't get 80,000miles out of pads, etc... she loves the car, but it's those little things that really annoy.
  11. hahaha!!!! never thought about that, doesn't sound all that tough now. also ride sport bikes
  12. got black and it looks awesome, for about a day, then dirty. (we live on a dirt road, what was i thinking!) also got the camel? color interior and LOVE IT. got 3 kids, and it's clean as day one inside. not sure how 5+ yrs will look, but for now it's good. only color i'm not crazy about is that light blue they have/had. until i see one driving down the road and WOW it does look good. (it would match my commuter car--hyundai accent hatchback in ice blue.
  13. we had a rented malibu that had the manual shift option. i used to on the way home from picking it up and decided it wasn't anything i cared to have. it upshifted toooooooo slow. down shift was quick and it would hold til redline
  14. you can squeeze 6 kids in there hehe
  15. was just going off the pic.
  16. i have not yet seen an edge with the top cut off
  17. about everywhere around has 10% ethanol in their gas. some say they don't have ethanol (but that's only 89, 91 oct) i wouldn't dare run E85 through it.
  18. so instead of a $20 filter we'll have to replace the entire tank? yikes!!! hope this thing likes ethanol
  19. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?sho...0&hl=brakes they're not the best brakes.
  20. i had my first oil change done at jiffy lube ( i was out of town and didn't want to go over 5K miles for the first change. i was very pleased w/ their service. THEN when i went to change oil, i drained it into a 6qt pan, and at one point had to put in the drain plug, empty the pan, and drain another 1qt+. i was NOT happen at that point. mileage did get better when i went to the recommended 5.5qts. Once i started buying and never burning oil in any cars over the years, checking the level is seldom done. i guess this would have been a good time to start checking, just in case.
