I agree! had i educated myself w/ what clad was at the time i would have opted for the cheaper stockers. and ordered a set from tirerack. pretty much a $30 cap on a $50 wheel.

we love our 07 SEL AWD, had it 5 months bought new. get AVG mpg mid/19's mixed driving. only complaint i've seen is it feels a little top heavy (coming from an 02 tahoe 4x4) it could use a little more get-up-and-go in the lower rpm range (but that's probably because i don't floor it) If this thing would avg 25 mpg, we would have a His and Hers Edge. but for now it's pretty much Hers (but i've got the sportbike so it's fair) I was looking at the Acura TL's before this and decided i liked the looks of the Edge better, and the fact i'd rather have it to tow my bike/mower with. Hope you enjoy yours "when" you get it.

I held out for the 5K mark. used the FoMoCo oil for the first change. switching to either royal purple or mobil next go around.

with combined driving we struggle to get it to 20mpg. it's heavy, it's awd, i think the sticker said 16/24 so i figure we're getting about right w/ combined driving. still love it though.

i went w/ a new 07 back in March. i was upside down on a different vehicle (02 tahoe 4x4 w/ 108,000 miles) with gas prices going up, up, up i went for the best trade in difference. i would only get $2K of rebates on the 08, and got $5K off with the 07. planned on keeping this one for at least 3 years so i went with the 07. i like the back hatch handle (hidden) on the 07 much better than the 08. and kinda would like the Sync, but it wasn't a must have. GL

we just made a 1400 mile roundtrip trip to San Antonio from Oklahoma, on the way down i mostly used fuel from a fiesta mart and averaged around 20mpg driving 80 ish. on the way home used mostly Shell and averaged around 22mpg driving 80-85ish. on the Shell gas we had more traffic (stuck in slooooooow traffic in austin for over an hour) and still had much better mpg.

very good deal. i was UPside down on my other vehicle, so i paid sticker for a new 07 in March. but got $5K more for my trade in than anyother place would give me. probably going to drive this one til it's paid for.

i got a great big smile on my face today. filled'r up, reset mpg, reset avg speed. pulled out, was disappointed at first 6, 7, 8 etc.... then jumped to 21, 22, 23...... went thru stop light dropped back down to 18,19........within a few more miles i reached 27!!!!!!!!!! highest i'd seen to this point was 23. now i'm really anxious about our trip to san antonio, i'm thinking......30 may be doable:) we'll see.

mixed driving in our 07 AWD usually right at 20mpg. it'll dip down to low 18's, and get upwards of 21's, but that's about it. we have around 4200 miles right now. getting ready to do a 10+ hour trip to San Antonio, from chouteau, ok. hope to see some 25's or better during our trip, if i can keep my foot out of it. as we get closer to $4 gal. it's getting easier to not be so lead footed.

that thumping drove me nuts awhile back when i towed, i finally just turned up the radio to tune it out. i never did check what it was, but extra play is probably what it was.

Looks really good!!! how much louder than stock is it? hardly noticeable in cabin? slightly louder at speed? i'd like something different for ours, but i know if it's very loud the wife will only complain, complain, complain.

have not noticed, but i'll pay more attention next time i drive it. i usually have the stereo blairing.

found my first flaw on my Edge. (actually 2) the first: on the A-piller on driver side of vehicle, there is a flaw. looks like the metal wasn't sanded smooth, or something was on the vehicle when painted. it's only on the driver side so i know it's not supposed to be there. example: looks like a wall that's been painted with a nail head sticking out just a little, then painted over. would this be a warranty'd item? since i apparently didn't catch it before i bought it. i've had it since Mar. 1st and have hand washed it a number of times, but this was the first time i've seen it. 2nd flaw: not really a flaw but if you have NO garage like myself you'll see my problem. the little rubber on the outside of the doors at the bottom of the window (i don't think it's actually rubber) get's dinged pretty easily. we had a hail storm couple of weeks ago and after thorough <sp> examination the body looked perfect. then today i noticed LOT's of little dings. all 4 rubbers have this on them. on a brighter note, when the black Edge's are washed and dried they sure look HOT!!!!!

i find i get the worst gas mileage at startup to around 20 miles, then it adjusts and stay's consistant. but the first 5-10 miles are the worst. i guess once the oil gets nice and hot it's circulating better. kinda makes me want to take the long way home (or actually the wife take the long way home) we're avg.ing 19.x which is about 1mpg better than we were avg.ing. but we're also getting closer to the 5K mark. this is in the SEL+AWD

I liked the sound (especially at idle) (it sounds like my uncorked CBR1000RR mmmmmm) but it's my wifes daily driver and she said huh-uh. need's little quiter.

does FWD vs AWD make a difference w/ this pipe? I have AWD and wondered if it will work w/ AWD. looks good

i took an 07 last month off Ford's hands and got a $3K + $1K and 3.9% @72 months. you may want to hit them up for at least another $1K in rebates.

door alignment could be "wind" related. i know this because my wife opened our Dodge Ram truck and the door flung back hard. had it realigned and they fixed it.

bought March 1st---bout 2600 miles. i actually got to put some of those miles on it myself.

i just RESET the MPG, when i want instantaneous read out, it's still not the same but close. otherwise my wifes in-town driving really cuts down the highway miles/gal.

I doubt it would "may actually be a better paint job, from some of the post's i've read" how bad was the overspray, ALL over the vehicle or only certain areas?
