How did you do the lit cup holders?

I recently bought my car, and the 3rd party remote start seems to have an issue. When I try to start the car, the lights etc come on and the car enters ON-state (I believe), but won't start. There is a message saying there is a engine fault. I have read that there could be some need for reprogramming. Does anyone have experience with this issue, and how to resolve it?

Without a picture, I would say that you probably won't be able to really fix scratches based on anything I've tried.

My roommate has a 2014 Escape Ecoboost, so he likely has whatever is standard for that. He is able to see on the main screen artist and track titles for radio stations, and I am not. I will have to check for the RDS setting. Sorry for the delay in replying.

I recently picked up a Stubby Antenna here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0087BAJ5K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and I have to say that garages and spots where I would lose Sirius connection no longer do.. possibly because the antenna is metal. I personally feel that in general my Edge's sound quality is subpar.. but my last car was a Mustang. I won't say that Sirius sounds any worse. It could be an issue with your antenna.. but if it was simply missing you'd probably be able to tell pretty quick. You could always try picking up one of those antenna's I got... its cheap and looks better imo, but a new antenna could fix the issue.

I would say in all honesty using a cellphone with google maps is better than any in-car navigation

Can anyone else confirm this? As much as I'd like to blindly trust... I'm having a hard time confirming. Also.. does anyone have experience with changing bulbs? Are these simply twist and change? Or will pieces have to be removed?

I dont think those will fit.. I was seeing I need HIR2/9012.. any thoughts there?

Are there any near white bright non-HID headlight replacements out there that are worth the money? Looking for a bit better projection than what I have now.

What method did you use to apply this? I've never seen a good application and would like to do my full front grille

I have a 2011 Edge with the latest Sync software (downloaded from Ford and when I put my USB in the car said it was already on this version). I noticed my roomie's 2014 Ford Escape has song titles and artists display on his radio, and mine doesnt. Is it possible to update for these types of features?

So.. there must have been an issue on the card. I had downloaded music straight from the artist page and new artists/albums would show, but ones that I replaced didn't. I copied all files to my hard drive and reformatted in exFAT. I loaded all the music back on and haven't seen it return as an issue. Files are varying bitrate but none about 320kbps, all mp3 format.

Thank you Rebecca! Let me stir the pot and make it a bit more interesting... I tried re-downloading the main artist that wasn't showing up directly from his website. I double checked the mp3 tags to make sure they were solid with MP3tag, and then proceeded to download another artists's album. I did notice that my mp3 trimming program had The new artist showed up, but the other one didn't. I plan on reformatting the SD card and moving everything back onto it to see if maybe there is some remnants of broken coding. But other than that.. any thoughts? Also, for those who really know.. what are the formatting specifications that Sync/MyTouch allows? MP3 only? Any limit to bitrate? etc etc? My car was program and didn't come with a manual

Hm... they were free releases that I got from a torrent so I can't imagine there's any DRM. I have mp3tag and updated the file information with that... are you saying I might just need to re download?

I have a 64GB sd card in my Edge with about 400 songs on it, however only about 300 show. They are all various bitrate MP3s... no other format that I am aware of.. unless there is a sub formatting or the bitrate matters, I can't really find anything in common.. except for one whole artist I got from the same source doesn't work. I heard it might be an update issue... so I downloaded the latest version from Ford and when I plugged in the ?USB drive it registered and began the process only to stop and say it is already on the latest version. Any ideas?

I did get a carfax... but those are worthless. It came back clean... but so did the one they ran on my mustang that had >5K in damage 3 times... so yeah. I did have my family friend's body shop look it over and they are confident there was no frame damage "without lifting it". The paint isn't in the best condition, a bit of orange peeling... but I am saving to a full machine polish from a detail shop to fix it all.

I'll get them up soon! 36k.. I can tell others doors have been repainted.. I'm hoping they just need to realign the door panels.. otherwise the dealer and I will have some issues!

I am about a month in to ownership of my Edge... and LOVE it so far. I do have to take it back to the dealership because the door panels rattle.. even with NPR on 1/5 volume. Otherwise it's been a dream. Black on black with a panoramic moonroof. Cloth seats (couldn't afford leather and a moonroof), and led interior light replacement and all emblems removed. I have used 303 Aerospace Protectant on all exterior and interior vinyl and its looking great, and have treated the seats and floormats with 303 Cloth Protectant for a highly water repellant action with no affect on the feeling of the seats. I even polished those massive tailpipes to a chrome shine Look forward to sharing future plans and reading about all you guys have done here!
