I noticed after washing the wheels there was an ugly film probably road grime and brake dust, even looked like a little oxidation. Started to panic after reading a few horror stories on the interned about wheel cleaners. I just used a soft cloth and some gasoline (yes I know its dangerous) the wheels look good as new with little effort.
At 55 mph I am getting 25.9 mpg with AWD, watch your mileage performance bar and try to get a good reading I am well pleased with mine I live in WV with lots of hills and mountains. If I lived in a flat area I am sure the mileage would be close to 27 mpg at 55 mph If I floor it the graph drops off like a rock and takes many many easy miles to regain good mpg. One quarter mile drag strip run and you will never regain any decent mpg until you reset the monitor ---------------- 2014 sel with awd
Got it clean, used a wet Q tip with a dab of dawn dish detergent and rubbed very carefully then sprayed entire area very lightly with water and blotted almost dry to prevent any water marks
I went to lower the passenger side sun visor and had a small spec of grease under my fingernail, well I ended up with a black smear on the headliner took it to the ford garage and they got most of it out. The rest can probably be removed but sometimes its better off to leave well enough alone. They used spray glass cleaner. Anyone got any better ideas for rest of removal. Black grease looks like shi- on light tan. Very easy to get headliner stained. at least now it's not noticeable
Went to New Orleans last week and got 22.3 MPG going between 72 and 75 mph came back and went mostly 74 mph and gas mileage was 22.2. car now has 5,000 miles and runs great. I love the navigation system and the ability to see current weather conditions and gas prices along the way. Car runs so smooth and comfortable. Came home non stop except for gas 1,050 mi. car completely flawless. Black with chrome plastic wheels ====== beautiful
I have a 2014 AWD edge with just over 1,000 and when fast acceleration there is a loud knocking sound out of the right rear wheel. It has only done this three times and then there was someone in the right real seat. I can not get this to duplicate without a passenger in the right rear seat. This may be a coincidence, also when the anti skid would lock up on ice there was a loud sound under the hood or right front wheel. Any ideas before I go to the dealer and can't get it to make this noise
My 2000 F-150 4x4 has over 222,000 miles and was never run easy. I can hear a little piston slap when it's cold but that soon goes away and then sounds like a new engine, Only used Mobil 1 and Mobil 1 filters, changed at 8,000 miles
Thanks for the replies fellows, I did see some posts on the Fusion forum and there are a few posts that sounds like the same noise mine makes. Any more info I would be glad to hear till then thanks again, looks like normal scary noise.

Brakes work perfect on dry pavement. Only thing that concerns me is my F-150 with ABS is no where near as noisy or heavy pulse through brake pedal. It just clicks and some light pedal pulse. Is there a problem with the Edge------------- thanks for reply
When driving on slick snow at about 15 to 30 mph and trying to panic stop the ABS pulses the brake pedal really hard and a banging noise comes out of the brakes mostly the LF brake. Is this normal. I have a 2000 F-150 and in the same situation I hear a clicking sound from the ABS and some pulsing in the brake pedal. The Edge is several times more pronounced than the truck is this normal?
I just bought a new 2014 Edge and after reading this forum I am starting to think this may have been a mistake. Have they come up with a factory fix for all the PTU woes I have read about on here. Anybody have PTU problems with a 2014? Not to mention thinking I got screwed on the 20 in chrome hubcaps for an additional $1300. Should I get the extended warranty? I have 2000 F-150 with 220,000 mi. and I doubt this new car will see that many with all the problems read about here
I have a 2014 Edge SEL with panoramic roof and black exterior and black/charcoal interior, it has a light color headliner is this right or should it have been black also?
