  1. Hi, Recent issue with my 2015 Edge Titanium, climate mode door will not change from dash vents. No matter what mode I’m in, or what vent position I choose (floor, dash or windshield) the air will only blow out of the dash vents. Everything else works as should, temperature goes hot, cold, A/C comes on, it just will not change which vents it comes out of. I understand that there may be a reset that can be performed, or is it a actuator issue? Thanks for reading.
  2. From what I was told, 2015 doesn't require the hood switch, and you only need the antenna If you want the bi-directional feedback, it will work short range as it does with your current fob. I'm hoping and waiting for detailed instructions on this, hopefully coming soon.
  3. Okay a little bump here, I recently had the opportunity to talk to a Ford service Tech and was told this is basically a get the remote start fobs, have them programmed and remote start turned on with IDS or Forscan. Didn't have time to get into details, but feel confident enough to get the fobs and take it to the dealer. Will post when I get a chance to get this done.
  4. Okay, still unclear on this, if I am able to activate the remote start parameters with Forscan or IDS then all I need to do is add the antenna, and get IA fobs with remote start and program them to the vehicle and I should be good to go. If I'm not able to activate the parameters I need to install the VSS/Remote start kit, and that would require having to carry a second remote, correct ? I would think if you can activate the parameters that would mean that the remote start is a built in feature like many other Ford vehicles, that all it requires is the addition of the antenna and fobs. I've been researching this for a while, seen plenty of install programming videos on YouTube, read pages of the Factory Service manuals on the procedure, I even tried to contact Ford Technical Support who just refers me to the dealer, that is almost not a option as the selling dealer installed an aftermarket 3x's lock remote start (not what I wanted) long story, but basically got ripped off on the remote start because I didn't cross my "t's" or dotted my "i's". My local dealer doesn't want to get involved with removing the module because they don't want to be liable if something goes wrong. I just want to find out if it is possible to have the remote start with the original style fobs before I invest any more time and money into this, not to mention the aggravation and frustration.
  5. Found a aftermarket seal kit that addresses this issue, goes around the edge of the door perimeter. Search 2015 Ford Edge accessories on E-bay, I'll try to link it here.
  6. Okay let me see if I follow, on my 2015 Edge Titanium, I should be able to activate the remote start with Forscan if the module is there, then get two five button intelligent access fobs, program them to the vehicle, and add the antenna, correct ? And if the module isn't there, if I install the post factory Ford remote start module and antenna, will it work with the OEM five button intelligent access fobs ?
  7. "Okay, I have read every thread on this forum about installing remote start on a 2015 Ford Edge. And I think I am more confused now that before I began. LOL" Right there with you, still trying to figure this out. I just read on another thread about someone doing this on their 2015 sel, trying to confirm that. I've been researching this for about 6 months now and still can't be sure if it's possible on the 2015. What I understand is that on first generation Edge that if you have perimeter alarm and power lift gate you need to install bi-directional antenna into the network via the tpms module (behind the left rear quarter interior panel) get fobs with the start function, have the dealer active and program the fobs and you're good to go. Carandtruckremotes.com has the fobs for $90 ea. And you get the bi-directional antenna from Fordparts.com for around $70, dealer labor should be about $100. Puts it at about $350. The other option is the Ford Remote Access System which can be found on eBay for $300, comes with VSS Module, Cellular Access Module and all necessary hardware and wiring. This is a simple plug-in install and you need to have the dealer active the system and then set up the cellular access, this requires an annual subscription for about $50, but I understand this will also work through your wi-fi network also. I'll try to link the other post I mentioned here possibly we can finally figure out if we can have the factory remote activated or not.
  8. Hey guys, I've posted about this also and reading through a lot of threads on this I think you may have answered my questions. My understanding is that on first generation Edge if you have the power lift gate and perimeter entry alarm all you need to do is get the bi-directional antenna and tap into the network through the tpms module located behind the left rear quarter interior panel, Get remotes with the start function (Carandtruckremotes.com) has them for about $90 ea. and then have dealer activate the fobs and remote start. I've been trying to confirm this on my 2015 from what I'm reading here am I correct in saying that i can do this on mine ?
  9. Had the same issue @23,000 miles
  10. Thanks again for the information, I stand corrected, my Edge is the non HID configuration. 9005 High beam (reflector) and H 11 Low beam & DRL (projection lense) At this point I'm either going to go with a brighter set of halogen bulbs, or see if I can change out my halogen headlight assembly's with factory HID's. I have access to a set from a rear end collision, just need to find out if they are able to be programmed to my Edge or if it's a plug and play swap.

  12. If it has aftermarket remote start it is probably a 3x's lock button system. Push your lock button on your key fob 3 times, the horn should give you 2 short beeps and then start up.
  13. I too have a Canadian built Edge and bought it as CPO, the Triangle lights are always on, my DRL's are in the inner part of my headlight and I can turn them off in the menu. Settings/Vehicle/Daytime Running Lights
  14. Thanks for the info, the light configuration on my Titainium is the DRL's are in the inner part of the headlight but the also act as my high beam, the projection lens is low beam only. To be more specific with my question, Are the H-15 LED bulbs you put in your Sport both DRL's and high beam ? Are am I correct in assuming that on the HID headlights they act as DRL's only and you bi-xenon headlight is both high and low beam.
  15. That's what I was looking to do, just about everything else on my Edge is LED. I like the way the LED DRL's look on cjh's sport, I know he has HID headlights, just wanted to know if his original DRL's were halogens. Trying to make this as much plug & play as possible, I was also wondering if I could just swap out the halogen headlight bulbs and put in the DS-3 HID bulbs ? I've read on another thread that the projection lens is different from the HID to halogen, but at about $750ea (minus bulbs) changing out the headlight assemblies is not an option. I would consider a HID conversion but would want something that would be as close to a factory install as possible, not crazy about having exposed resistors as many of them do. Some of the LED kits I've seen has everything contained in the headlight assembly, that's why I was looking to go that way.
