  1. Hi, Recent issue with my 2015 Edge Titanium, climate mode door will not change from dash vents. No matter what mode I’m in, or what vent position I choose (floor, dash or windshield) the air will only blow out of the dash vents. Everything else works as should, temperature goes hot, cold, A/C comes on, it just will not change which vents it comes out of. I understand that there may be a reset that can be performed, or is it a actuator issue? Thanks for reading.
  2. From what I was told, 2015 doesn't require the hood switch, and you only need the antenna If you want the bi-directional feedback, it will work short range as it does with your current fob. I'm hoping and waiting for detailed instructions on this, hopefully coming soon.
  3. Okay a little bump here, I recently had the opportunity to talk to a Ford service Tech and was told this is basically a get the remote start fobs, have them programmed and remote start turned on with IDS or Forscan. Didn't have time to get into details, but feel confident enough to get the fobs and take it to the dealer. Will post when I get a chance to get this done.
  4. Okay, still unclear on this, if I am able to activate the remote start parameters with Forscan or IDS then all I need to do is add the antenna, and get IA fobs with remote start and program them to the vehicle and I should be good to go. If I'm not able to activate the parameters I need to install the VSS/Remote start kit, and that would require having to carry a second remote, correct ? I would think if you can activate the parameters that would mean that the remote start is a built in feature like many other Ford vehicles, that all it requires is the addition of the antenna and fobs. I've been researching this for a while, seen plenty of install programming videos on YouTube, read pages of the Factory Service manuals on the procedure, I even tried to contact Ford Technical Support who just refers me to the dealer, that is almost not a option as the selling dealer installed an aftermarket 3x's lock remote start (not what I wanted) long story, but basically got ripped off on the remote start because I didn't cross my "t's" or dotted my "i's". My local dealer doesn't want to get involved with removing the module because they don't want to be liable if something goes wrong. I just want to find out if it is possible to have the remote start with the original style fobs before I invest any more time and money into this, not to mention the aggravation and frustration.

    Door Weatherstripping

Found a aftermarket seal kit that addresses this issue, goes around the edge of the door perimeter. Search 2015 Ford Edge accessories on E-bay, I'll try to link it here.
  6. Okay let me see if I follow, on my 2015 Edge Titanium, I should be able to activate the remote start with Forscan if the module is there, then get two five button intelligent access fobs, program them to the vehicle, and add the antenna, correct ? And if the module isn't there, if I install the post factory Ford remote start module and antenna, will it work with the OEM five button intelligent access fobs ?
  7. Hello, New to the forum and need some help, I have a 2015 Edge Titanium with Intelligent Access, Push to Start, and want to add a "Ford" remote start system. I've read through some of the threads and did some research on the remote start install and have a few questions. Now I don't want to carry around extra remotes, or do a aftermarket 3x's lock button system, so I'm looking for some insight on what I can and can't do with the install. One thing I do know is that I can't install the VSS & Remote Start Module and program new original style key fobs with the engine start button, I'd have to use the fobs for the VSS system. I've read that some Edge models with power lift gate had the remote start built-in and just need an antenna install and activation. Is this possible on the 2015 ? Would really like to go this way, is there anything I need besides the antenna, two key fobs with engine start button, and having the dealer activate it ? I can always install the Remote Access System but would like to know what all my options are. Thanks
  8. "Okay, I have read every thread on this forum about installing remote start on a 2015 Ford Edge. And I think I am more confused now that before I began. LOL" Right there with you, still trying to figure this out. I just read on another thread about someone doing this on their 2015 sel, trying to confirm that. I've been researching this for about 6 months now and still can't be sure if it's possible on the 2015. What I understand is that on first generation Edge that if you have perimeter alarm and power lift gate you need to install bi-directional antenna into the network via the tpms module (behind the left rear quarter interior panel) get fobs with the start function, have the dealer active and program the fobs and you're good to go. Carandtruckremotes.com has the fobs for $90 ea. And you get the bi-directional antenna from Fordparts.com for around $70, dealer labor should be about $100. Puts it at about $350. The other option is the Ford Remote Access System which can be found on eBay for $300, comes with VSS Module, Cellular Access Module and all necessary hardware and wiring. This is a simple plug-in install and you need to have the dealer active the system and then set up the cellular access, this requires an annual subscription for about $50, but I understand this will also work through your wi-fi network also. I'll try to link the other post I mentioned here possibly we can finally figure out if we can have the factory remote activated or not.
  9. Hey guys, I've posted about this also and reading through a lot of threads on this I think you may have answered my questions. My understanding is that on first generation Edge if you have the power lift gate and perimeter entry alarm all you need to do is get the bi-directional antenna and tap into the network through the tpms module located behind the left rear quarter interior panel, Get remotes with the start function (Carandtruckremotes.com) has them for about $90 ea. and then have dealer activate the fobs and remote start. I've been trying to confirm this on my 2015 from what I'm reading here am I correct in saying that i can do this on mine ?

    PTU seal leak

Had the same issue @23,000 miles
  11. Thanks again for the information, I stand corrected, my Edge is the non HID configuration. 9005 High beam (reflector) and H 11 Low beam & DRL (projection lense) At this point I'm either going to go with a brighter set of halogen bulbs, or see if I can change out my halogen headlight assembly's with factory HID's. I have access to a set from a rear end collision, just need to find out if they are able to be programmed to my Edge or if it's a plug and play swap.

  13. If it has aftermarket remote start it is probably a 3x's lock button system. Push your lock button on your key fob 3 times, the horn should give you 2 short beeps and then start up.

    DRL Question able to disable?

I too have a Canadian built Edge and bought it as CPO, the Triangle lights are always on, my DRL's are in the inner part of my headlight and I can turn them off in the menu. Settings/Vehicle/Daytime Running Lights
  15. Thanks for the info, the light configuration on my Titainium is the DRL's are in the inner part of the headlight but the also act as my high beam, the projection lens is low beam only. To be more specific with my question, Are the H-15 LED bulbs you put in your Sport both DRL's and high beam ? Are am I correct in assuming that on the HID headlights they act as DRL's only and you bi-xenon headlight is both high and low beam.
  16. That's what I was looking to do, just about everything else on my Edge is LED. I like the way the LED DRL's look on cjh's sport, I know he has HID headlights, just wanted to know if his original DRL's were halogens. Trying to make this as much plug & play as possible, I was also wondering if I could just swap out the halogen headlight bulbs and put in the DS-3 HID bulbs ? I've read on another thread that the projection lens is different from the HID to halogen, but at about $750ea (minus bulbs) changing out the headlight assemblies is not an option. I would consider a HID conversion but would want something that would be as close to a factory install as possible, not crazy about having exposed resistors as many of them do. Some of the LED kits I've seen has everything contained in the headlight assembly, that's why I was looking to go that way.
  17. Just wanted to ask a few questions about the H-15 LED DRL's, were your original dlr's hid or halogen ? Are they both, dlr's and high beam lights ? Are they plug and play with no issues ? I'm going from halogen and looking at led conversion kits for both, but figured I'd start with the drl's.

  19. I apologize, I answered your post in error, but searching the part #'s you listed, I would check with Levittown Ford on the forum to confirm you have the correct parts (I believe you do) I have a 2015 Edge Titanium (push button start) and want to add remote start, saying that the I've been researching further on this and can say that what I wanted was to install this system and be able to buy the OEM fobs with the engine start button to replace the fobs I currently have. I have IA (intelligent access) also with the perimeter alarm, I'm not sure if I have to install the security system or not with the remote start module, but I can say that I cannot use the OEM fobs with the engine start button (confirmed by Ford Remote start Tech Support), I would have to use the fobs that come with the remote start system and carry two fobs that I didn't want to have to do. Since you have the parts and if you want to give it a try look on you-tube and search 2015 Edge remote and you will find a video from Price Ford on a F-150 install, wouldn't be too much different on the Edge, you can gain access behind the glove box by simply by squeezing the tabs past the stops. the T-harness install (that they do not show) is simple enough, just unplug the vehicle harness form OBD connector and plug in the T-harness and run the plugs over to the glove box area. The rest is shown in the video but still requires a trip to the dealer to have them activate the remote start on the ECM. Hope this helps a little, I am now looking at the Remote Access System (smart phone remote start) although it would require a yearly fee I really hate the idea of carrying two key fobs around, maybe in the future the systems will allow for the OEM fobs to be programed but I'm not counting on it.
  20. First off I'm trying to be fair and am trying to work this out with the dealer, but so far not going too good. Not going to mention the dealer at this time, but I could use some helpful guidance moving forward. I purchased a 2015 Ford Edge Titanium and let me say I love this vehicle. This Edge had everything I wanted except the remote start feature, I asked about having the OEM remote start added they said it was a $600 install, tried to negotiate it into the price but this was the sticking point. I left saying I need to think it over, researched the parts on ford parts.com and they priced out retail around $300 minus the key fobs, that I need to call the dealer for the pice because of programming them to the vehicle. Found the fobs online from various vendors for about $100ea but it needed to be programmed at the dealer, I know the dealer doesn't pay retail but the $600 price tag didn't seem outrageous. I offered we split the cost ($300ea) stating that this would be the factory OEM remote start and not an aftermarket unit that would have to be spliced into the vehicle harness, they agreed and assured me it would be the OEM remote start. When we picked up the Edge was told that they would need to order the parts and they would call me to set up an appointment to have it installed. Received a call a couple days later, they told me they would need it all day. Dropped it off, they set me up with a loaner vehicle, my experience was good if not great up until this point. When I picked it up I felt something was off when they demonstrated the remote start by pushing the lock button on my original key fob 3x's, it worked and I figured that that was the was they programmed it. The next morning started the vehicle pushing the lock button 3x's, was a little annoyed with the horn sounding especially at 5am and cabin temp was way too hot. I found the install for the OEM unit online, at this time I began to suspect that this may be an aftermarket unit. Looked behind the glove box for the module, nothing. Looked under the drivers side dashboard and found an aftermarket unit "spliced" into the vehicle harness. Called the salesman, he said this was a Ford FO1 approved aftermarket part, and that this was a service dept. issue and I need to settle it with them. I asked him not to give me the run around and the issue was the fact that an aftermarket unit was in my vehicle, he's still trying to push me off to the service dept. I plan to go up the chain of command at the dealership but don't have high hopes for that since they were sitting at the table when we negotiated. I kust would like to know where to go after I've exhausted all resources at the dealership. Any help and advice is appreciated. Thank you.
  21. Go to fordparts.com, enter your VIN, open Electronics and Telematics, then Electronic Accessories, the page should give you available accessories for your vehicle. The wiring, module, antenna and key fobs are listed here. They don't give you a price on the fobs, I've found them online for $100 new (not from Ford) But even if you install yourself, I think you have to have the dealer program the systems and new fobs. I've posted about this also, I just want to get some insight on how it would work. There's a video on the Ford owners site that's has me wanting this feature, I just want to know what to expect as far as function. I'm estimating this is a $500-600 price tag, don't mind putting out that money if it's going function like the factory unit.
  22. Want to put remote start in my 2015 Edge with Sync-MyTouch Intelligent Access, I believe I found all the parts on the Ford parts site ( module, wiring harness, antenna and key fobs ) If I have the dealer install this what should I expect as far as price and function ? (Will it work as if it was installed from the factory) Have been researching this, looks pretty straight forward plug in installation, just want to know if I will be able to adjust it through the Intelligent Access? Will it regulate the cabin temperature through the auto climate control? I watched the video on the Ford owner app and I guess that what I'm expecting from the installation. Any insight and information is greatly appreciated
