  1. Hope it all comes together! BTW: My 2016 Edge Sport is at Ford Country as of today. Air bag recall completed. Adaptive Steering Fault requires new steering wheel (3 bus days for part to come from Ford Sacramento parts depot). And also TSB for rear seat not folding all the way flat (right rear seat does) still pending, and the tech had the seat disassembled. I provided TSB number and detail learned from this forum) to service advisor but he declined to forward to technician - saying the tech will identify all TSBs for my Sport. Obviously that didn't happen.
  2. I did an early lease return by 5 months on my 2014 SEL (replaced by 2016 Sport). I was prepared to pay the final 5 months payments and I received a letter from Ford Credit stating the vehicle would go to auction and I would pay (1) the lesser of the 2014 auction sale proceeds compared to fair market value or (2) the remaining 5 month lease payments. As it turned out, they credited me with an extra month month's lease payment which I didn't make. Bottom line I only paid 1 the equivalent of one month's lease payment plus some about $50 in fees vs. the remaining 5 months remaining lease payments. Saved me about $1,300-$1,400. The 2014 had very low mileage, very good options, and was in excellent condition which helped with the auction sales price.
  3. Both extended warranty and maintenance package can be purchased online from Ford dealers that offer them at much reduced prices. I recently purchased extended warranty from a Minnesota Ford dealer at $50-$100 over dealer cost for my 2016 Sport. Almost 1/2 less than my local dealer or Ford Corporate sales. Minnesota dealer also offered maintenance package at reduced prices, which I declined. They make their money in sales volume as opposed to fewer high margin sales. I have no business interest in this dealer, but at the time found their pricing to be the best. 4. I recently received a Ford letter citing the air bag recall and that parts/remedy won't be available until late second quarter 2017, and I will be notified when to go to the dealer. There is an official air bag recall notice dated 2/27/2017 from the NHTSA with manufacturer recall number 17C02 and NHTSA recall number 17V123. "Recall incomplete, remedy not yet available". I have been following the adaptive steering issues on this forum. I received a single "error fault needs service" or something like this message to date on my 2016 Sport. There is also a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 16-2085 12/2/2016 - 2015-2016 Edge 2016 MKX - Left Rear Sea backrest Does Not Fold Down When Using The Second Row Seat Control Switch - Built On Or Before 9/12/2016. Mine is a 6/2016 build and does exhibit this issue.
  5. I hope you got her an alternative birthday present - even just to hold her over until the new Edge arrives. All the best there Thanks for providing the .pdf's - very helpful. Great Edge and the Ruby Red Metallic is beautiful. Would have been my first choice. Keep us posted here when it arrives and your/her satisfaction with the vehicle. Just fyi - if you recall mine was a private party sale - Mine was 2016 (206 miles when I picked it up and only a month old from initial purchase date) Sport MSRP $47,035 and I paid $36,875 but no sales tax. A $3,005 savings. Plus it was very enjoyable when at the DMV not having to pay the sales tax. I also have had X plan for years but actually used it as I was always able to negotiate a better deal. And the X plan $100 doc fee much better than the inflated doc/dealer fee ($499-$799 varies by dealer) all the dealers charge here. I also bought a Ford ESP warranty from a Minnesota dealer for about half of what the local dealers wanted and also Ford Corporate extended warranty group. If interested, One of my posts here on the Warranty section details the dealer name and details. Of course yours was a 2017 and mine a 2016 so there is a year more depreciation on mine.
  6. All Hat: I care 2016 Sport owner here in Henderson - we have communicated before on this forum. Very sorry to hear about your issues with the 2017 Titanium order. Which dealer did you order from this time if you don't mind me asking (or DM me separately)? Good news on the rebates. I recall this is for your wife, assume she has something to drive while waiting? I am enjoying my Sport.
  7. Yes, I purchased online but I did speak with the Business Manager before the purchase, very helpful and courteous. He also sells Extended Maintenance Plans at a discount if anyone is interested. No tax on the ESP but tax on the maintenance plan per Jeremy. I have purchased several extended warranty's online previously with no issues. I searched the various forums (like this one to obtain low margin dealer names). I did add the interior/exterior lighting extra cost option as Jeremy said the LEDs on the back of the Sport are pretty costly to replace - something like $1,800. The HID headlights are also costly to replace. FYI - price goes up after 12 months and 12k miles. Check out the dealer link in my previous post and you can price the various options without committing to purchase. 8. I found the best price ESP at Anderson & Koch Ford http://andersonandkoch-ford-warranty.com/. About half the price of local dealers or Ford corporate ESP sales center. Very easy transaction all completed online. I have a friend who is a Ford Fleet Manager and he said the price was $50 over dealer cost. They make the profit up in the number of contracts they sell.
  9. Completely agree on your summary write-up. My 2016 Sport is a huge improvement from my previous 2014 SEL which was fairly well optioned. Emjoy!
  10. Forgot too mention - in Nevada no sales tax on private party vehicle sales which saved me $3,005 - and helped motivate me to pull the trigger on the sale. Window was $47,035 and I paid $36,875 - no sales tax - so $13,165 of MSRP plus tax.
  11. Thanks very much RedEdge16. Will check it out. I am liking the Kona Blue better as time goes on. I bought it from a private party (reason for no choice in color) in my area with 195 miles and only 1 month old as he had some financial challenges. He actually wanted the Kona Blue and couldn't find it locally so he bought it from Texas and shipped it to Nevada. When sun is out, the blue metallic metal flake is beautiful!
  12. I have a 2016 Sport very similar to yours (401A, Pano roof) but Kona Blue Metallic and the 21-in wheels. I am interested in your Sync3 upgrade and USB Hub experience for Apple Car Play. I called Ford and they said later this year for 2016's and latest Sync3 available for download is still version 1 vs. version 2 ford.owner.com. Where and how was the upgrade done (dealer or DIY) and the cost? Thanks and the Sport is an awesome machine. I agree the Ruby Red is a great color and would have preferred that color.
  13. On Dec. 29, 2016 I picked up a very lightly 2016 Kona Blue Metallic Sport with 401A, Pano-Roof, and 21" wheels. MSRP $47,035. Build date June 2016. Original buyer bought it from dealer in Texas (I spoke to a sales manger to confirm the sale was legit) on Nov. 26, 2016 and had it shipped to him as he wanted Kona Blue and couldn't find it locally with required options. He subsequently had some personal financial challenges after the purchase and put it up for sale. He also owned three other Ford's. 5.0 Mustang GT with Kenne Bell supercharger, Explorer Sport and another Edge Sport lease return due in March 2017 of which I saw all of these in his garage and driveway. It had 190 miles when i test drove it, still had the Ford window sticker attached, and had been in his garage. I purchased a Ford ESP PremiumCARE extended warranty for $50 over dealer cost (price confirmed by a Ford Fleet Manager friend of mine) from one of the Ford dealers that sell online at discounted prices. So should be covered for any turbo, AWD, or other issues for quite some time. He had clear title and purchase price was $36,875 - and no sales tax ($3,005 which was a major factor in my decision) as my state, Nevada exempts sales tax on private party vehicle sales. Even if purchased out of state as it turns out. Drives beautiful and that 2.7T is awesome! The technology is also very impressive. I have a leased 2014 SEL 3.5 I will be returning, so quite an upgrade.
  14. Yeah - I have had the same problem with finding exactly what I wanted. I found this Ford inventory search site which was helpful, for the future. Yeah - four Ford dealers in the Valley - I used 92656 and 100 miles search radius on the website below came back with 62 Ford dealers. http://content.dealerconnection.com/vfs/brands/us/nv/henderson_ford_en.html I would have liked to have the Driver's Package as well. The Ruby Red is beautiful, I would have liked that color very much for mine. The Platinum trim level is great, congrats on that acquisition. Have you been happy with it so far? I always wanted a pickup and got my first one at age 47 and since then I have had 8-10 pickups to date. Fords and Chevy's. Don't blame you on not compromising. Did you order from Ford Country or Gaudin? - happy with their customer service? Did you receive rebates/incentives as of Nov. 4 or when you actually take delivery? Have you been supplied a delivery date? The 2017's (All Models) have CarPlay and Android Auto. https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2016/07/25/ford-bolsters-availability-of-sync-3-plus-apple-carplay--android.html
  15. I initially was looking at the Titanium but somehow I switched over to the Sport. Nov. 4 is quite a while ago - what is your order configuration/details? Send on a private message if your prefer, I would like to see what you ordered. Just out of curiosity - why did you order a 2017 vs take a 2016 already in inventory with more rebates/incentives?
  16. Thanks All Hat.. The technology on this thing is very considerable, I am an IT guy and the tech is impressive. Thanks for reminding about the dealer doc fees. Yeah - I hate those dealer doc fees so much - my last two vehicles I either flew one-way (had airfare company business ticket voucher so not out of pocket) to Los Angeles and drove it back or drove with a friend where we both bought the same car ($599 doc fee each) and drove them back. Some dealers (not all) charge up to $799 doc fee, mainly on the higher end vehicles. Very pleased so far.
  17. Thanks - yes I have the signed off title and there is no dealers name (as this a private party purchase) and no lien holder. I picked it up last night and it drives awesome! Got it for $36,875. No sales tax.
  18. From Nevada DMV website Sales Taxes Sales taxes are not collected on private party vehicle sales that occurred on or after January 1, 2006. http://dmvnv.com/regprivate.htm
  19. Forgot too mention - have CARFAX - no accident/ no damage. Also did a close walk around inspection. 1 service history record performed at 2 miles at selling dealer. Pre-delivery inspection completed Washed/detailed Emissions or safety inspection performed
  20. Looking at a 2016 Sport with 401A, Pano-Roof, and 21" wheels. MSRP $47,035. Build date June 2016. Original buyer bought it out of state and had it shipped to him as he wanted Kona Blue. 205 total miles - still has window sticker attached, and has been in his garage. He bought it on Black Friday so only one month old and 35 months of warranty remaining. I have printed window sticker with details. He had job issues and must sell. He has clear title and we have agreed on $37,300 - which is $9,735 off MSRP - but with no sales tax as my state (Nevada) exempts sales tax on private party sales. $37,300 * 8.15% tax would be $3,039.95. VIN = 2FMPK4AP0GBB94044 if that is helpful. I put about 10-15 miles on during test drive and it drives beautiful and that 2.7 TT is awesome!. I have a leased 2014 SEL I will be returning, so quite an upgrade. I think this is a pretty good deal but would appreciate comments/feedback. TIA
