  1. Well first off, congratulations, NHunter!! :hyper: I only have a single kid....but I would think 3 across would work. But It probably will be tight since the newborn seats tend to be so much bulkier than a booster seat. You might want to borrow a few from friends and take them in and actually try it out.
  2. Wow, Edgy....that is quite a glare! Is there anything after market that can be done to the windshield to help cut down on the reflection?
  3. crzjorge .....mine does the same thing. Interesting.
  4. I have no idea when I may use my folding front passenger seat but I love knowing I can. I am sure it will come in handy at some point.
  5. Very nice! What color do you have for the interior?
  6. I also think it bizaar that there is no grab handles on the A posts!! Another thing and this is really probably only cool to me, is that I can rest my left elbow on the window sill and wedge my index finger on the top portion of the window.....hard to explain but it prevents my arm from falling forward. I couldn;t do that with my Tribute or my 2002 Ford Sport Trac. I wish there were blue instrumentation but am glad it isn't orange at least. And as for Edge diet? Sign me up..........
  7. Hmmmmmmm, that is a good question. Anyone have an answer?
  8. Congrats on your new Edge......hope it fullfills all your driving needs! I know I am enjoying mine.
  9. If I can add my 2 cents here......I traded in a 2004 Mazda Tribute (same everything as the Escape) for a 2007 Edge a few weeks back. The braking on my Tribute was quite efficient, responsive and consistant. The braking on the Edge has a farther (is that the right word?) pedal path to travel but stopping is more than acceptable. Considering there is what, a 500 pound weight differance between the 2 vehicals I would say it is more than adequate and that I am still getting use to these little nuances.
  10. I seriously considered the CX-7 as well. Kinda funky on the inside and there was a noticeable lack of rear seat space for our 4 year old. I guess the final point it came down to was the fact that it requires premium fuel. It does have a very peppy engine after the initial excelleration lag off the start line but not enough to sway me. I am pleased as punch with my Edge......it needs a lumbar support though.
  11. I can totally sympathize with getting used to having the temp. right there. It's amazing how much we look at that gauge until it's not there. i totally think you should excessorize with the mirror option.
  12. Very nice! Enjoy your new ride. :hyper:
  13. I really appreciate reading about this topic....thank you for posting all this info. I have always thought that stock lamps are to diffuse. One question: What is the purpose of yellow fog lamps? Does it cut thru fog better than white?
  14. I too have the camel interior and can't really say I have noticed a glare. However, I do wear high quality polarized sunglasses ALL the time...they are pretty much glued to my face. When hubby drove it he said he saw some glare but it wasn't to terrible. :shades: Edited a few days later...... OK, I pried my polarized shades off my face today and did indeed notice a glare/reflection with my camel interior. Not sure if it would be enough to really bother me but I was shocked at how the polarized sunglasses helped cut down on the glare/reflection. Nutshell...yes there is a glare/reflection but I still love the color.
  15. I have the Redfire also but with camel interior.....I love it! I agree the red looks soooo much better in person. The light sage is nice as is the dark grey (pewter?). I thought the Creme Brulee looks alot like the MKX color.
  16. I have a Redfire Metallic and love it! Camel interior, too.
  17. Yep, green gauges with a spot of red on the needles.
  18. I chose the camel interior. For years I have had silver or grey cars with dark grey interiors.....it was time for something new.
  19. :hyper: Picked up my new Redfire SEL+ AWD Edge last night and I am loving it! Only a few complaints thus far..... 1. As a $36k vehical I would expect a mute button on my stearing wheel. 2. My Rand McNally Country Wide map book is too wide for the magazine holder size slot behind the front seats. (where shall I put this huge map I consider mandatory in any of my cars?) 3. Fuel economy......I knew about this, but it is still disapointing. I am enjoying the handling and agility of this heavy Crossover. The navigation/radio screen is way cool. Although my husband doesn't drive my vehical all that often it is such a nice perk to have the seat presets avaliable. The wide array of seat and steering wheel combinations is sure to please most any body size or shape. Overall, for having only had it 24 I love it!
