Thanks Hardhawk! I just heard back a few minutes ago fomr the dealership and it was a bad sensor that they had to replace. Obviously, only being 9 months old it was covered by the warrenty.

Dropping off my Edge tonight so they can look at my parking assist sensors. Even though the sensors are completely clear I am getting a "Check Parking Assist" warning on my display. I can press reset and it goes away until I place it in reverse again. Anyone else experience this?? I will update this when they give me an answer. Other than that, still loving my Edge....I have had it since March 2007 and have about 16,000 miles on it.

I have Maryland firefighter tags and unfortunatley we can't customize them. I like SZONE....cool!

Ya, I have the Metallic redfire as well and I think it is fantastically bright. Are you wanting more of a fire engine red maybe......not so metallic?

Pianistic....did you buy the Purple one or a different color? Got pics???

LOL! I grew up outside of DC (Montgomery County) and I know how bad it is down there. Not that the Baltimore area is much better. I am glad the Edge will keep you comfy and mellow while sitting on the Beltway.

Looks like my demographic of married with kids in the 30-40 group is pretty common for an Edge owner. I have gotten so many parking lot questions form people, both younger and quiet alot older than me. The last guys was in his upper seventies and looking to trade in his 2 year old Crown Victoria!

Thanks you for the explanation akirby.......that is interesting (I know squat about how a car actually works). I learned to drive with a manual so I I'm pretty quick to engage on hills but I can totally understand about the roll being a bit unnerveving.

When I got my rear cargo mat, it was rolled up like yours. I laid it out in my asphalt driveway in 89 degree heat for an afternoon and it was flat as a pan cake when I picked it back up to put in.

Continentals on my Edge SEL Plus.....18". Would have loved to have the Michelans. I had Continentals on my 2004 Mazda Tribute and had to replace them 16k miles in. I was not happy.

I love both of the 08 blues! Crud.......I don't think hubby will want to hear that, lol.

Autoanything.com I will be mounting it tomorrow.......I'll post pictures. While it will not stop all the glare it will help and it will get rid of the weird (IMHO) futuristic silver/aluminum edging around the main console.

I have a dash kit on order (should be hear in the next day or so). It will change the silvery parts to an American Walnut color.

I had this as a recurrent problem on my very first car....a 1992 Saturn SL2. It came from a build up of crud (???) and the sensors didn't think the engine was getting enough air. I would just be cruising along, sometimes quite fast and the engine would just shut down. I can totally understand hoe disconcerting that can be. please keep us informed of what the dealer says tomorrow.

I was thinking maybe the premoistened computer wipes? Anti static yadda, yadda, yadda type of thingy?

I got it at Lowes (big chain hardware store like Home Depot). It comes in a roll usually in the carpet section of the store.
