What is the recommended oil change interval on an Edge Sport? (2.7 Ecoboost) I called the dealer and was told "It will tell you when its time for an oil change" But I would also like to keep an eye on that myself...Im guessing 5,000 miles/6 months but if anyone can fill me in on the factory spec I would appreciate it.

That does sound logical, I agree. Hope you are right, I could save $100. I will call a few alignment shops and get some feedback and opinions

Hi Guys... So I had H&R Springs fitted on my G2 Edge 3 weeks ago. After the springs went on they did an alignment. I put 300 miles on the car and today I had 4 Atturo 850's mounted. The shop guy said I did not need another alignment as the previous alignment done 3 weeks ago would hold. Is he right here? I was under the impression that another alignment would be in order after the springs had settled and the Atturo's were mounted Second question; What Tire Pressure are you guys with Atturo 850's running? All answers greatly appreciated.

Thanks Quila....Seems strange to me that Ford did not see fit to leave the red led's on as long as the doors were locked...They are at least a small visual deterrent. If some dirtbag wants to break into your car and see's no sign of an alarm I would think it would encourage them.

Does anyone know why the small red led alarm lights on the doors do not stay on? After I have alarmed the car mine go off after a short time. I would rather they stay on until I re enter the car. It provides a visual deterrent, not much, but better than nothing.

Posted Yesterday, 04:36 PM Im trying to remove the 'Ford' Hood emblem on my G2 Sport. I know we already have a thread for this but it's not for a G2 and the G2 is way different. It feel as if I could just pull on it and it will pop out..but Im not going to do that because I know if I do I could easily screw something up. Has anyone here on the forum removed the hood emblem on a G2? How did you do it? Thanks

Here's how mine looks after install..I have to agree with other forum members that H&R got it dead right. The drop is just how I wanted it to be...And I am so impressed with the improvement in handling. I just got back from my favorite testing spot near where I live..its a traffic roundabout in the middle of nowhere. A constant radius circle with a diameter of about 150 feet and very little traffic use..so I was able to get on it and stay on it for 20 or so circles. Each time around I pushed a little harder until the main problem was lack of lateral support in my seat. The car was rock solid all the way..eventually little bit of tire squeal but the amount of grip I got was substantial. Also, the Pirrelli Scorpions that I have on at the moment now get a little more respect from me - they did ok actually. As soon as I get the Atturo 850's mounted I will get back out to the same spot and report back on the comparison.

Mikula...my specs after installing H&R springs 2 days ago. My Edge has only 6K miles on it, so you would think that it went in prior to install pretty much bone stock.

Thanks for the heads up on pricing roots57....I just got a quote of "about $900 " today. Guess what? I won't be going there.

Nick...Are you thinking that your rear shock leak is caused by the H&R springs?

Great info here guys. Question: How long ( or how many miles ) after installing the H&R springs do i wait before getting an alignment? I just got a 4 Atturo AZ 850 tires, so Im planning on waiting for the springs to settle and then do an alignment at the same time as the tires are mounted. Mikula: Just read your post about reducing the weight on your edge prior to tracking it. That was some serious weight reduction! How was your Edge at the Track?

Hi Mikula....sfbluenote here ( you sent me that killer video about Plasti dip) and Im about to do the H&R lowering thing on my 2017 Sport. Actually, Im going to have a shop do it because Im not that skilled mechanically..First I have to find a shop that I feel will do a good job.....I will stay in touch with you and let you know how mine turns out. From what I read here in the forums we have to wait some time for the springs to settle and then get an alignment. Should be interesting! Now that sounds like the answer! I've never used Plasti Dip. So, just to check here, it will peel off without damaging or sticking to the paintwork?

I hate chrome or anything shiny, so Im looking for a Black 'Edge' Emblem for the rear ...I found a 'Sport' emblem in black but no luck so far with a black Edge emblem. Normally I would remove the emblem and spray it black myself but on my 2017 Sport you have to remove each letter individually and there is not enough surface area on the back of the letters to apply the double stick to re-mount them....So, Im hoping someone might have a line on an alternative. All suggestion appreciated...

Wow! $500 for a set of decent 21" Tires.... that is amazing. I have not heard of Atturos before.. Are they noticeably better than the Scorpions?

This thread just cost me $239! After reading all the praise for H&R Springs, I just ordered a set from Tire Rack....they are delivered this Monday the 27th. I just got my 2017 Edge Sport 2 days ago and Im already spending money on upgrades..now I have to find an installer in the San Francisco Bay Area who knows how to install the springs correctly. Will report back when I get them fitted........

Thanks for your input- I appreciate it. I just got my Edge yesterday .. great car. But I do want to improve the handling and from what I read here on the forum H&R Springs seem to be the first step. Let me ask you though Do I really need to replace the struts?
