  1. 2016 Edge with 3.5L engine. Bad throttle body at 8K miles. The engine would go to idle and the airbag light went on. Restarting the engine cleard the issue for a short while.
  2. The car is fixed - bad throttle body.
  3. To answer the "why" question, I thought it was the seat belt alert on the dash. It turns out it was the airbag light (wasn't wearing my glasses). My only shot was to connect the seat belt since the light (I thought) was on. Going home from work the airbag light was out and the check engine light went out as well. Driving into work the next day, same thing. Engine went to idle. Very unsettling. Airbag light came on. Click the seat belt and it went out - check engine light is still on. I have an appointment at the dealer tonight (if I make it).
  4. 2016 Edge - I was driving at about 50 mph when the engine lost power. The dash said "See Manual" and the seat belt light came on. The engine was idling with no throttle response. I drifted to the side of the road, shut down the engine and restarted. Still no throttle response. Then I clicked the seat belt on the passenger seat (which was empty) and the throttle response immediately returned. I completed the drive to work without further incident. Now the seat belt light is off but the check engine light is on. Is this related to the throttle body discussion or is this a sensor issue? Any ideas?
  5. 2016 Edge with 2K miles. Glass was fine. Parked the car in an open area. Got back in the car and the vista roof was severely cracked. It looks like stress cracking. There is no impact on the exterior.
  6. My 09 Edge AWD now has 5000 miles. No smell. I really like this vehicle.
  7. Is this the TSB for the seal breaking loose? My roof rattles after 600 miles. It is really bugging me. Does anybody have the actual TSB number?
  8. What is the fix to this rattle? I have an 09 AWD and the rattle showed up at 600 miles. I hate noise in the car, so it really bugs me.
  9. I had an aftermarket starter (Viper) installed. It is two-way and works within 2000 feet. The two-way tells me when the car is starting or stopping, the temperature inside the car, and the time remaining on the timer. I can also activate the rear defroster from the remote. $375 You can use it to control other things, like turning on your heated seats, lock/unlock doors, etc. I didn't have those things installed. Go with aftermarket and have it installed by a reputable installer. You get much more for your money.
  10. I have an 09 Edge and I also get a slight vibration in the steering wheel at idle. It is slight but I find myself taking my hands off the steering wheel at lights, so maybe it isn't so slight. It seriously bugs me.
  11. They still look like they will light up. When I get a chance I will pull down the panel and see what is behind it.
  12. I will pull it down and look. Here is what I mean by "completely different switches". Your switches: 09 Switches:
