  1. I have a  Ford 2017 Ford Edge Titanium. Page 332 of the owners manual has a torque value of 162 lb.ft. for the lug nuts. WHYIs the torque so High when the torque for an F-150 is 100 lb.ft.?

To keep the wheels on is not an acceptable answer.

This seems to be very high for a lug nut.  I haven't tried to remove one with the tool provided  with the spare tire.  What is the reason for this torque other than to  keep the wheels on?

  3. Mobil1 with Motorcraft filter is what I've been using since around 3-4000 miles.

Unless you have a way to know the exact amount of oil that comes out, it usually takes me a few days to get the oil at the full mark, which is the top hole. Usually after the oil change I'll get it on a flat service & wait about 30-40 minutes to check the level (to make sure that it's around the full mark & safe to drive) & then drive around. 1sr thing in the morning before the 1st drive, i check the oil again & add if necessary & repeat until the dipstick reads full after sitting over night.

With the turbo & all the lines, it'll take a good 30-40 minutes for 'most' of the oil to work its way back to the pan. Usually, if you let it sit over night, then it should have enough time to work it's way back down to the pan. Better to add tiny amounts than bigger amounts & risk over filling.

I believe that the 2.0 requires nearly 6 quarts of oil according to the manual (which i don't have in front of me).

1 thing also to consider is a catch can. I don't know your climate & it really seems to work best (or catch the most contaminants) in temps below freezing. I've caught A Lot of blow by & contaminants with my Catch Can over the last year since it was installed. Most recently, i drained it with around 2,000 miles since i last drained it & it caught a fairly decent amount considering the mileage. To note, last summer, it barely collected anything, maybe a few drops during an oil change (5,000ish miles). Once the temps went below freezing, it started collecting more.

  4. I found out that an AMSOIL EaO 26 oil filter will fit the engine and it will add almost a quart of oil to the system.

Pre fill the filter prior to installation.

If you intend to use an EaO 26 filter get the filter cap wrench which will make installation and removal real easy.

The filter has been on for about 1000 miles.....NO LEAKS :love_shower:

All depends on that right foot, what grade/quality fuel you're using (Top Tier Preferred), winter mix fuel, tire pressures, driving style etc. Most people forget that this is a turbo engine & is around full boost around 2,300 RPM (Don't have the exact figures in front of me) & need to 're-learn' how to drive in order to get the best MPG's out of the 2.0 Ecoboost. Accelerating to stop lights/signs is a very good way to burn fuel in these things. Just keep an eye on the fuel economy mode on the left side of the Speedometer & you'll see what i mean when you accelerate to stop. If you gradually get up to speed & coast to a stop sign, you're MPG's go way up. Anticipating stop lights or 'knowing' the cycle is also a good way to increase MPG's as you're not wasting fuel idling when you're getting 0 MPG's.

I've also seen a 2-4 MPG difference between a Top Tier station & a non Top Tier Station. Gas just isn't gas any more. Different Gas Stations have different additives in the fuel & some are worse than others. Speedway Gas Stations are the worse & I avoid them at all costs unless it's an emergency to get me a few miles up the road.

When my wife drives the car, she can't get much above 25-26mpg in the summer on the highway. When I drive, we get closer to 28-29. In the winter, she can barely get 23-24, but i get 25-27.

We're taking a road trip over the weekend & it'll be the first road trip with my Oil Catch Can installed, so maybe we'll see an improvement there as well.

I had a Catch can on my 09 edge, removed it when I traded it. I'm trying to figure out how & ware to install it on my 2017 2.0EB. Pictures or other info would be a great help.
